Question MCS

First things first, yes I do understand that MCS doesn’t show up in bank accounts until October.

My main question/confusion lies with the fact that the MCS isn’t showing up in the CSAC site as well as the financial aid section of the CSULB student center. It doesn’t say that it’s denied or awarded in CSAC, it’s just simply blank. I know i have eligibility left for my final senior semester. Last year the MCS showed as awarded in late July, and I’ve seen other reports of students saying it’s already showing in CSAC and the student center for them this year.

Is it normal to be waiting this long or should I reach out to CSAC or Financial Aid?

I’m in the same situation too, like it gives me anxiety just having this huge balance due, without anything on my CSULB portal telling me that it’s going to be covered. I also already talked to financial aid and they said the same about October payments but it sucks.

Yeah definitely frustrating. Did the Financial aid office by any chance tell you if we can wait until MCS applies to the outstanding balance in October, without being dropped from classes? That’s if we ever get MCS lol

Usually the awards don’t show until mid semester, from what I’ve experienced…

Not sure if anyone answered yet, but keeping it brief, the FA overhead is still assessing student need and eligibility for MCS. This process will carry through September. Hope this helps 🙏

I got an email that i  was awarded MCS but I’m assuming everyone is in a different situation. All I know is that it’s officially given until October.
