Arena Scalpers…

Post image

One section of the pressers for the April 10th game at the dome. Crazy that my season ticket seats are around $100 for this game 🤣

knew this would happen as soon as all tickets were sold out the second they went on sale to the general public lol.

Turns out regular people are just as greedy and selfish as the rich owners we all hate..

Who the hell would pay $300 for press level tickets!

Plenty of people will for the last game

Yea I didn’t look at the date before posting.. my bad lol. Still crazy price for those seats though

It is but it’s the last game and that changes everything. The seats aren’t much of a matter for some. I know plenty of people who’ve said they’ll pay up to 500 for PL seats for that game. The dome means a lot

For me I’ll just go to the second last game for 25% the cost

Once in a lifetime game

That’s fair.. the form is iconic and I know people will pay that price. I wouldn’t but that honestly just me

I'll just get to *one* of the last games for less, then watch the last one in a pub nearby.

In this economy? I'm sure some will, but people with actual money often have more connected means of aquiring tickets.

Yes absolutely in this economy. This economy is entirely propped up by klarna payments and credit card debt and everyone buys absolutely everything they please and thinks later

I don’t even wanna be at this game would be too saddening..just thinking about it is no doubt actually being there.

Ba ha ha. It's not like the team is leaving... yet...

2031 flames are moving to AZ. Forced sale when Bettman transfers commissioner role to bill Daly to get more American market coverage

They won't. Expansion fees are probably going to be between $2.5-3.0 billion by then, and they wouldn't be able to get that kind of money through relocation.

The NHL is going to be 36 teams by mid 2030's, because they do want an Arizona team back, but they want owners and an arena. Houston and Atlanta have turned ground yet on their own arenas, and they're first in line for a team.

I was thinking of going to this one but I think if there is an expensive game to go to I would rather go experience a BoA at the dome

2

u/CanadianRockx 1d ago

BoA isn't nearly as expensive as when Toronto comes to town, it's honestly not that much more than your average game.

I think I’ll just take my kid to the last wranglers game at the dome instead.

3

u/Jevakob_ 1d ago

Definitely. Wranglers games are just as fun. Seeing all the young talent play

I absolutely despise scalpers, shameless and pathetic way of making money

3

u/Jevakob_ 1d ago

Agreed.

The worst part is that it’s season ticket holders doing it. It sold out in the season ticket holder presale.

3

u/ArticQimmiq 1d ago

I just paid less for section 200 tickets against the Canadiens 🙄

5

u/Martin0994 1d ago

This is only an issue if you're someone who stresses about having your tickets in hand this very second.

It sucks but I feel fairly confident that you'll be able to get into the building for <$200. If I have to miss a bit of the fanfare to buy a ticket in my budget so be it.

Man I really wanted to go to this too. Final game, and it's on my birthday, but I just can't justify that cost. I can afford it but like, fuck me guys it's not worth it. I'd rather buy myself a $399 bottle of scotch and down the whole thing rather than pay scalpers for these tickets

u/djankylosaur 1d ago

Scalpers? In THIS economy?!

3

u/InklingInTheCity 1d ago

The flames also got in on the scalping for this game. My STH cost for it is $95 a ticket (Section 205), when my Season Ticket partner wanted to get an additional pair on the pre-sale they were $270 each

u/Jevakob_ 1d ago

Makes sense honestly from a business standpoint. But still shitty for the consumer

13

u/Responsible-Bid4097 1d ago

Nobody is going to pay >$300 for PL for an AHL game. Scalpers suck.

30

u/Iginlas_4head_Crease 1d ago

For the last game ever at the dome they will

8

u/reeganl02 1d ago

Unless they make the playoffs ;)

7

u/SofaProfessor 1d ago

Exactly what I thought when I saw those scalper prices. Would be hilarious if they somehow beat the odds and made the playoffs so everyone speculating on ticket prices has to sell at a discount on game day. Now... That is highly unlikely. Probably more likely this game is to see who gets the best odds in the lottery. But a boy can dream...

2

u/Jevakob_ 1d ago

God I hope they do just so everyone who’s dumb enough to buy this game pays for it 🤣

2

u/Responsible-Bid4097 1d ago

I totally forgot it was the last game. Thank you.

5

u/Rickcinyyc 1d ago

It's not going to be the last game, though, we're making the playoffs. /s

Do it!

GFG!

2

u/MattBinYYC 1d ago

I’d say I’m shocked but I’m really not. :/

2

u/Impressive_Manner143 1d ago

Was sold out when I got up to get them, looked at what scalpers were selling, decided to just book a different game and call it my last night in the Dome.

L-O-fucking-L

A stoppable force vs a moveable object.

I’m not sure how SeatGeek does their pricing algorithm but PL are now priced at $500+ per ticket. I suspect is because of how much website traffic this game got in the last 24 hours, but I’d be curious how many have actually sold as the price continues to climb (I suspect not many?).

2

u/adamonfireyyc 18h ago

This is insane for press level

1

u/epok3p0k 1d ago

I wouldn’t buy these now. Hype from tickets just going on sale, plus pre-season excitement, etc.

Tickets will be hard to give away this year (again) and these will also plummet despite it being the last game in the arena.

u/longwongdongg 1d ago

Is this for the new stadium or regular game at the Dome?

6

u/Jevakob_ 1d ago

Last regular season game this year
