Hey Cambridge, I could really use your help right now...

My partner lost this locket this morning while biking from Cardinal Medeiros in Cambridge to Back Bay. It was held by a gold chain with a small golden bird on it.

She very suddenly and tragically lost her mother 3 months ago. Throughout her grief, she's been wearing this locket, that has both a piece of her mother's favorite flower and a piece of eggshell, both collected during the funeral.

The locket itself isn't valuable, but I can't possibly describe how meaningful this is to her. We would do anything to get it back. If by some miracle you come across it in the street, please DM!

Hi Moderators, I think you do a very nice job on this board.

However, this is now the 3rd or 4th election cycle in a row (and maybe more) where campaigns are clearly trying to manipulate public opinion on Reddit. I am not talking impassioned supporters stating their case but rather campaign driven movement. The last Council race had some very suspicious behavior.

While Reddit is "not real life" it has a certain amount of influence. I am sure some people on here have better ideas than me, but maybe there is just one super-thread before an election for each race?

I visited to a hospital here and the estimated cost is about $20k (before insurance) which I feel is too expensive for a surgery like mucocele removal. My elderly parents live in the house I grew up in in Cambridge. Their kitchen table got smashed when someone fell on it 😭. I am ordering them a new table, but especially since their doorways are very narrow, it seems like getting one that requires assembly is the best idea.

They are ancient and cannot assemble a table delivered from Target. **Where can I engage someone to go make it for them?** They're fragile and vulnerable and I can't fly out to do it this week, but they really need a kitchen table again because that's where they eat.

Any advice? Very appreciated :/

Hi all! My roommates and I just moved out of our old apartment. Like many others, we left some items on the side of the road when we moved. When we handed the place over to our landlord, she responded with photos of how we’d “trashed the street” (her words) and said that we would be charged “$600-$800”. The majority of the items did not belong to us, but to other units. We cleaned up what was ours today, but she said that she has already hired someone to clean up and will charge us for the pickup of the items, even if they are not ours.

Per our lease: “Lessee(s) shall be responsible for a fine of $199 per incident in addition to cleanup charges and any penalties imposed by the city […] for violating any trash disposal rules”. Technically, we did violate the lease by leaving unbagged items/trash, but our items are now gone.

This is all to say, what should we do in this case? Are we boxed in by our lease such that we must accept any fine levied on us by the landlord?

Last minute undecided voter here. Who are you voting for and why? From what I've seen, Miller and Connolly appear to be very similar on most issues. Would love to hear some opinions.

I didn't check my mail for about five days last week, and then did. The box was totally jam-packed with mail, the majority of which were poltical mailings. There were like four from Decker alone, another three from Mackay and a bunch of others.

It just struck me as totally odd in this day and age. What a waste of paper and expense on high-end color printing and postal services when, I assume, the majority of people do not get their political information from these fliers.

They went straight into the recycling bin and it looked like many of my fellow tenants did the same.

Planning to travel with my cat on a plane for 7h. Last time, I think I gave him treats which contain CBD (or sth similar) and the furry one was very calm. Where could I find those in Cambridge? Alternatively, CBD oil might work.

I have Visible, which runs on the Verizon network. I pay for priority, and am absolutely not getting it. It's 1-2 bars in my house and I'm in Inman. It should be 4 bars all the way. New massive drop in service in the last month, but it's been steadily not hitting 4 bars for the past six months+.

I don't have home internet, and instead use my phone to hotspot. I need something with unlimited data.

This is from the Decker super pac supporters, not Evan supporters. They're trying to paint Evan as some kind of crazy woke. It's pretty nasty given how positive Evan's goals are.
