Rainy Summer?
Just wondering if this summer at the Cape has been as miserable as it looks on the Weather app.

In New England any forecast longer than 24 hrs ahead is just guessing. It could be sunny all week.

This is what the forecast looked like two weeks ago also. I think it rained once during the day.

I see other people posted this: That is what the outlook said before we left for our week on the Cape. Turned out to be sunny every single day.

Those little rain symbols will show when there’s any rain forecast for all day, even if it’s from 5-5:30pm. This visualization is not reliable in the way you’re expecting it to be.

We were there for a week last month and it was overcast or rainy most days. We were stuck in torrential downpours one afternoon and one evening.

They exaggerate. It might rain for a few minutes here n there. It won't effect what you wanna do.

Looks like a typical, August weather map to me.
Not gonna’ rain every day, all day

Overall it's been a fantastic weather summer. Enough rain so that the grass and trees stay green but plenty of hot and sunny days. The weather app images show rain even if it's only a brief shower
It's New England, you never know for sure! But I'm guessing it will be nice

It might rain for 3 minutes in the middle of the night and we get the rain cloud picture on the app. It’s been a pretty dry sunny summer. Even today when it is cloudy there has been very little actual rain.

Visited in July and it was cold and miserable, unfortunately. Just spent last week in South Carolina and it was glorious, thank goodness.

Not for the last few weeks.
Since the cape is in a level II drought, any rain is very welcome.
