Question Campus Store Fee

My friends and I are first years going into programs at Carleton and were wondering if anyone knew what the "The Campus Store" fee is on the term payment breakdown. We assume it is for textbooks for course needs but we arent sure.

I don't think they can charge for textbooks automatically, only you are responsible for buying them. Not sure what this specific one is though

Can’t find it on this page https://carleton.ca/studentaccounts/tuition-fees/fw-ug/f26w27-ug-ontario/ which has a list of every fee. You would have to reach out to accounts to get more info

Are you in a program that requires equipment that you pickup at the campus store?

I believe it’s for courses that have Inclusive Access- which I believe means that you are automatically charged for the digital textbook/course materials, unless you opt out.
My son had an email last week, and charges were applied and coded this way on his account.

We were charged for Interactive Access for Econ 101; my son received a email saying he'd been registered for IA but didn't mention the fee. Took a bit to figure it out.
