Europe 🇪🇺 Need some advice

I fish regularly at my local pound for carp and I have been successful not pulling out giants but decent carp
But recently i get tabs and bites on my hair rigs with pva bags and I don’t get any hook ups
Same rigs as before
I changed the length of hair made it shorter or longer but same thing , tabs and bites and strong indications but no hook ups
I use homemade 16 mil boilies ( shrimp hydrolysate + semolina and fish meal base)
Size 6 wide gape hooks
I tried hair lengths of 5 millimeters from the hook to 1.5 cm
I tried sinking hair and also made it pop up with a small foam

I don’t think the bait attraction is a problem it gets bites fairly quickly ( whether from carp or other fish)

The only i can think of is that i make my baits and hooks smaller

I will appreciate any comments and opinions

Question 📝 Does this look good?

A couple of days ago I posted a picture of my rig and I received some advice (lengthening the hair and shortening the rig).

I followed the advice, now there's 1,5cm of space between the hook and the baits, and the rig is now around 17cm long.

Does it look better than my previous one?

Broke a rod a few days ago while trying to loosen up a snag. Decided to go a more traditional route with my new ones.

Europe 🇪🇺 Video: catching a 35lb+ common on the surface

This was not the biggest but definitely the strongest carp I've ever caught.

https://youtu.be/VYe27FwZO5M?is=7yw2ci-szH7UmXbD

English subtitles are available!

I tied to capture surface bites on camera this year, and got lucky enough to capture 4 30lb+ carp bites! Two others are already uploaded on my channel.

Are there more anglers here who like to fish on the surface? Is it also popular in the USA?

Here in the Netherlands I use dog food or bread, but I'm curious if people on here have also tried other things that can be used as floating (hook)baits.

Im new to carp fishing and need some advice on carp fishing. rigs? Cage feeding? Whats the right choice and how does it work. I made some kind of feed or sum with garlic cinamon pepper flour blended corn flakes eggs and other stuff. Id like to use that in some way. Any links to good guides or just about anything helps, thanks.

Practicing for a bass tournament and came across some of these guys in 1ft of water. Grabbed some ham and cheese and tossed it out there. 10 min later I get this guy! Super fun on light spinning gear. Could someone identify specific species? Located in Alabama River.

Looking for feedback on this bundle set. Is it worth it?

Read mixed reviews on the reels but the rods seem solid.

Знакомая ситуация, когда клюет вяло и часто срывается с крючка. Уже не первый раз пробую использовать "Бутерброд" и результат видно сразу.

A familiar situation when the bites are sluggish and the fish often comes off the hook. It's not the first time I've tried using a 'Sandwich,' and you can see the result right away.

Just to preface this I’ve only ever used a method feeder to target carp. Just want to start using pva bags. Is this type of lead “free running” and when I attach my hook link do I need to put something over the bottom of it so my hooklink doesn’t come off? I’m a complete novice.

Thankyou in advance.

Question 📝 Surf reels for carp fishing

Has anyone used the Shimano Aerlex 14000 XSC for carp fishing? They're designed for surf fishing, but I was wondering if they're good for carp fishing too

Question 📝 Is there anything wrong with my rig?

Post image
8 Upvotes

It's been a while since my last catch.

I often get some runs from nuisance fish but that's it.

I use 2x20mm boilies (usually not the ones in the pic but some yellow vanilla flavored ones that I make) and a flavored fake corn kernel as my hookbait.

Size 4 hook, size 8 swivel to connect it to my mainline (ø0.35mm fluoro), an antitangle sleeve and an inline lead (I use them in a range from 80g to 110g).

The rig is about 23cm long (like the pre-tied ones my local shop sells, that work fine because I decided to give them a try).

Am I doing something wrong?

Europe 🇪🇺 It can’t be just me who hates tiktok fishing

I hate this new fishing for tiktok and all this new shite that came with it I’m only young my self 18yr old but this new stuff like “ oh he’s a noddy “ “kicking a bream” “you have to get in the water to let it go” and everything else.

How can you turn people into learning or just starting into a bad thing. No is just perfect straight away, also breams a fish if you get it let it go so what. Just bull shit
