Safety Question Is this normal?

Post image

I have a 2010 honda crv. This is where the index is on my temp gauge. Is it normal? Should i be worried?

Where is the gage usually? Most manufacturers design those gages so "normal" is right in the middle of the range...So, it would seem your engine is running a little hotter than normal. Have you checked the coolant level? Be very careful, do not remove the radiator cap, check the recovery tank...

OK, well you are getting some early warnings of trouble. Check the coolant level and get the issue resolved before it turns into a major overheat, which is disastrous for today's aluminum engine blocks...

It’s a little warm, nothing to worry about if if goes back down, though it may be a hint that your coolant is a bit low

Maybe take a picture while you’re parked next time. Put the phone down. And yes check your coolant.

Check the coolant level but this is normal on a hot day or if you have been driving it hard.  Start to worry if it’s a couple more bars than this.  Shut off if it’s at H or a bar or two away.

No not normal , have keep eye on it and maybe check coolant level when engine is cold . Could be a bad thermostat, water pump or radiator fan

Definitely overheating. Stop driving immediately if it’s like that. Check your coolant levels. You might be running low, which is an issue of itself.
