Your cat owns you and everything in your house, you are simply a caretaker of your home and your cat won’t listen to you. Cats will determine when you can love them, unlike a dog who will always take scritches and chase the ball

Cats are cleaner, they bathe themselves as they have literal cleaning supplies embedded on their tongue. They cover up their waste, theyre quiet, and they stay small. They are also very clever and dramatic but depending on the breed but most cats have their own personality whereas dogs are kinda just the same idk but theyre all individual dogs its just theyre too trusting and kind meanwhile cats have boundaries and will f u up if u mess w it

Cats love you and will listen to you but on their own terms and when they want to. You can’t train a cat anymore than you can a teenager, they have to choose to listen or behave, so the relationship you build is very different than with dogs. It’s learning their language, needs, etc and compromising.

Dogs are pack animals and are instinctively looking for guidance, so training works well because they are looking to be guided, and you can set your own rules. Cats are not, they’re your peers, and they can take care of themselves. They’re a great lesson in consent for this reason, and I find their love to be more rewarding for this reason (and don’t trust people who hate cats for the same 🤣).
