New Cat Owner Need help !!

First appointment tonight and she's jumpy still around the carrier. I tried a collar and she's not a fan of that either. We only had her since Saturday we took her in.

I will be by myself and I don't want to freak her out. I can tell she wants to be outside cause she will bolt.

Appointment with the vet? Call the vet and ask for advice. They may reschedule and/or prescribe gabapentin. Or you can get an at-home vet.

The cat will pick up on your vibes so you need to try to chill.

I use an in home vet. It’s no more expensive. Try asking for a prescription for transdermal gabapentin. It reduces anxiety and you don’t need to force a pill down your pet.
