I don’t know what his issue with the music was, but it wasn’t even particularly loud or disruptive. It was just the normal background music you’d expect in a fast-food restaurant. Now the entire place is dead silent except for people talking, chairs scraping against the floor, kitchen noises, and the occasional beeping from behind the counter.

What annoyed me more was the entitlement of expecting an entire restaurant to change its environment because one customer apparently didn’t want to hear the music. There were plenty of other people eating there who obviously weren’t complaining about it.

Maybe there was a legitimate reason and I’m missing some context, but asking the staff to lower it would’ve been understandable. Having it completely turned off for everyone is another thing.

For awareness if you encounter the same rider. I booked a maxim item delivery last Saturday going to Liloan. The item has already been paid for by the buyer. When the rider arrived, he was fine to talk to. Then after a few minutes, the buyer messaged asking where the rider is because he couldn’t track him anymore. When I checked, the rider’s icon was indeed gone from the app so I messaged him but got no reply, and the option to call him also disappeared. We assumed he might have gone offline to pick up a passenger on his way since it was far away and we had experienced this before. But after 2 hours, he still wasn’t there and there were no updates. Then after 3 hours, the booking seemed to have auto-completed, but he didn’t deliver the item. So I had no choice but to refund the buyer. Upon checking the booking, there was an option to call him so I got his number but he wasn’t answering calls or texts. After a few calls, he blocked our numbers. I reported this to the maxim app and the fb page, all the connections to the maxim page and also an admin head named Chris, but they didn’t respond. Someone else was also scammed by the same rider before and reported it but maxim didn’t do anything either. I just hope he doesn’t scam anyone else. I think he only scams on item deliveries since he has a high rating on the app. He scammed before too based on posts on fb, also related to item delivery.
