Does anyone know any Manchester based shops able to install a Fiedler System?

I’m buying a new case soon and I’d love to install a Fiedler backpack system on it but I don’t have the tools to do it myself. I know Thomann sells Gewa Air cases with Fielder backpack system already installed but the color that I want will take quite a while until it’s in stock.

Is there a strings shop in Manchester that can install the system onto my case for a fee?

The backpack comes with instructions on how to install it, there's a paper template to help you locate the positions of the holes you need to drill.

Video on how to install it:

The only tools you need is a drill, a crosshead screwdriver (no 2 phillips I think) and a spanner (7mm I think). Even if you have to buy the tools, it would still be cheaper and more convenient to install it yourself. I would prefer to use an awl to mark the hole positions and then drill without needing to hold the bracket at the same time like in the video.

I can't remember what size drill bit you need, I think it might be 3mm or 4mm. The video shows using pliers to hold the nut but it's much better to use a spanner, although pliers might be handy if you have pull or move any padding or linings around the drilled holes inside the case.

Okay thank you! I’m just nervous because I am a very clumsy person and I don’t want to hurt myself with a drill or ruin the cello case ☹️
