I won’t say terrible, I still had a good time haha. But I was a little disappointed. I’m a huge Chance fan, I went to see him twice on the coloring book tour when it came out 10 years ago. It was one of the best live performances I’ve ever seen. He played with an entire band - Donny trumpet, a choir, the whole thing.
I think I was expecting that. It was just a drummer and Peter cottontale. Still cool, but nothing like what I saw 10 years ago. Definitely disappointed, maybe my expectations were too high.
The first show was so good I literally bought tickets to another show bc of how blown away I was

Just saw in Philly and left 30 min in, the band sounded off beat and struggling to keep up with him and I could barely hear him mostly just the crowd singing along. I saw the originally coloring book and it was a phenomenal show. This felt out of sorts and I think he really should have had a DJ. Every song I heard felt like a different version of the original like he was trying new things and it wasn’t working.
