The CWL was the good times we didn’t know we were in it. In person tournaments every week it felt like champs actually felt like a championship cause there was a ton of teams. Just was more fun to watch

MW3, BO6, BO7 are the best games and comp I’ve seen in the CDL so far, games wise it’s some of the best finesse, and imo the 3 best games mechanically and feel wise in the CDL era.

I liked mw3 but if optic didn’t win in that title you would have remembered that it was a one gun meta and we played triple invasion every series the whole year, great game still cleared by Cold War and bo7 and yes I am bias, if optic had won every event in bo7 I would have not enjoyed it as much

There was great team parity between the top 4. Optic, FaZe, NY, and Ultra were all pretty comparable talent-wise.

What's even crazier is, people saying that over Cold War when it's not even close to as good as Cold War was. Tbh MWIII was kind of ass, but it came after the literal worst CoD ever made so I think it gets way more credit than it really deserves. Like it was built off MWII, it was never gonna be a great game. It was better but we shouldn't pretend it was all that good. Like if MWIII came out after Bo4 we'd all say it's one of the worst games ever made.

If you’re going off the end of the year MW3, my personal favorite but I can also acknowledge it was not good first half of the year with the map pool, and the MCW at times could be a bottle over the top until they fixed the HS multi.

If not MW3 it’s CW and there’s a giant gap between CW and any CDL COD behind those two

B07 is arguably the most well rounded of the lot, except for the map pool.

MW3 is praised so highly because of the fantastic competitive maps. Unfortunately you play the game on the maps, so yeah, MW3.

True, but when you GA everything in the game then you’re asking for situations like that. The CWL had plenty of titles with deeper weapon metas, and that was far better imo.

The mid pack or lower teams could grind, find a new meta, and then made a lower bracket run off of their game knowledge. The barebones approach in the CDL just doesn’t allow for this kind of approach.
