SPOILERS Was Lelouch right...Can a plan like ..Zero Requiem' bring peace to the real world?

After watching the final episode and finishing the series, thousands of questions raced through my mind: Is it really possible to turn the whole world against oneself....becoming a common enemy...and then die, thereby bringing about peace? I believe no one is powerful enough to make the entire world hate them and unite in doing so; after all, different nations have different enemies. Furthermore...I feel that one person cannot simply change another's mindset....only an individual can change their own way of thinking....and peace cannot be imposed or established from the outside

DISCUSSION Geass doesn't give true power over a person's soul.

Have you ever noticed that geass powers, aimed at controlling and rebuilding the properties of the human soul, cannot erase information? You can hide a memory or give a hypnotic order, but when the victim regains control of his mind, his personality does not change.

Remember: the prisoners of Lelouch's power returned to their former state after the destruction of the witchcraft delusion, they did not fundamentally change. Moreover, when he erases a person's memories, he actually hides the memories deep inside and locks them, but the information itself remains in the person.
The same goes for Charles. His geass power also does not erase information, but replaces real memories and hides them deep under the key.

I wrote this post to share a fun fact: geass powers are not capable of changing a person. You can inspire him with any thoughts or erase his memories, but the human soul will remain in the his hands and hands of God.

DISCUSSION Forget Lelouch vs light yagami. Lelouch vs reinhard from Legend of galactic heroes would be a better comparison.

Idk why ppl compare light and Lelouch when reinhard from Legend of galactic heroes is a much better comparison.....

Do you think they're kind of similar? And what'd they think of each other if they met (apart from supernatural advantage ofc)....they even have similar circumstances with sisters,.suzaku-kercheis, annerose-nunallly etc.

Code Geass Lost Stories Why is the Moon (sometimes) red? And why is red Kallen Kozuki´s favorite color?

Thumbnail

Ever wondered why red is Kallen Kozuki´s favorite color? It´s not because her hair is red. Rather, it is because the color red reminds her of her late brother, Naoto, and the deep bond they shared. This was even confirmed in the alternate timeline of Code Geass: Lost Stories mobile game, in an event called ”Blazoned with Crimson,” in which we were also revealed the origin of Kallen´s red Glasgow.

If you are interested, you can check out that story here. Personally, I liked it a lot, and wouldn´t mind if that story was someday turned into an official prequel OVA episode. I ❤️ Kallen so much!!!

Also, if you didn´t already know, Kallen´s last name ”Kozuki” means ”Red Moon.” And indeed, sometimes the Moon really does appear to be red. But why exactly is that?

The most well-known reason for why this happens are lunar eclipses, aka Blood Moons. During a total lunar eclipse, Earth moves directly between the Sun and the Moon, blocking direct sunlight. Because of this, the only light reaching the lunar surface passes through the edges of Earth's atmosphere, causing air molecules scatter short blue wavelengths, while longer red wavelengths bend (refract) toward the Moon. And the more dust or clouds in Earth’s atmosphere during the eclipse, the redder the Moon appears. This, btw, is the reason why the Moon can appear red, when it´s low on the horizon, even if it´s not being eclipsed by the Earth; when the Moon is low in the sky, not only does its light have to travel through a much thicker layer of air to reach your eyes, but also thick smoke from wildfires, volcanic ash, or heavy smog injects tiny particles into the air, and these particles scatter yellow and blue light even more aggressively, turning the Moon a distinct red or rusty brown.

It is actually the same phenomenon that makes our sky blue and sunsets red that causes the Moon to turn red during a lunar eclipse. Sunlight appears to be white, but it actually contains a rainbow of components – and different colors of light have different physical properties. Blue light scatters relatively easily as it passes through Earth´s atmosphere. Reddish light, on the other hand, travels more directly through the air. When the Sun is high on a clear day, we see blue light scattered throughout the sky overhead. At sunrise and sunset, when the Sun is near the horizon, incoming sunlight travels a longer, low-angle path through Earth´s atmosphere to observes on the ground. The bluer part of the sunlight scatters away in the distance, and only the yellow-to-red part of the spectrum reaches our eyes. And this is why during lunar eclipses, the Moon appears red to us; any sunlight that´s not blocked by our planet is filtered through a thick slice of Earth´s atmosphere on its way to the lunar surface. It is as if all the world´s sunrises and sunsets are projected onto the Moon!

Other interesting trivia about the Moon:

  • The Moon formed when a Mars-sized rogue protoplanet named Theia crashed into the young Earth about 4.5 billion years ago. The impact blasted huge amounts of rock, gas, and dust from both bodies into space. Over time, gravity pulled this orbiting debris together to create the Moon. These days, scientists favor the Giant-impact hypothesis over other theories (such as Capture Theory, an idea where Earth's gravity caught a passing wandering body), because lunar rock samples brought back by Apollo missions match the chemical composition of Earth.
  • Though solar eclipses, where the Moon moves between the Earth and the Sun, happen about as often as lunar eclipses, they are visible from such a small area of Earth each time (the Moon's shadow on Earth’s surface is only about 300 miles or 480 km wide) that it’s much rarer to encounter solar eclipse than lunar eclipse. That we get solar eclipses so often on Earth is an incredibly lucky chance of nature. The Sun is vastly larger than the Moon ― its diameter is about 400 times the Moon’s, but since the Moon is roughly 400 times closer to Earth, this makes it possible for the Moon to almost perfectly block out the Sun when everything aligns.
  • The Moon started its existence much closer to Earth, and has been slowly drifting outward at the rate of about 1.5 inches (3.8 cm) per year. Once it makes it past 14,600 miles (23,500 km), it’ll appear too small from Earth to cover the Sun, which means no more solar eclipses (but, don´t worry, if you haven´t witnessed a solar eclipse yourself just yet - you’ve got another 600-million-plus years before that border is breached 😉)! Perfect distancing, perfect timing… it is almost as if the entire human race was destined to evolve when they did, so that they could not only witness solar eclipses, but also understand what they are and how they happen.
  • Astronaut Neil Armstrong was the first man who ever walked on the surface of Moon. His Lunar Module ”Eagle” from Apollo 11 landed on Tranquility Base (Mare Tranquillitatis) on July 20, 1969, at 20:17 UTC. Armstrong stepped onto the lunar surface a few hours later at 02:56 UTC on July 21. Neil Armstrong's famous first words on the Moon were, "That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind." Armstrong saying "small step for man" without the word "a," "man" and "mankind" essentially meant the same thing: however, he always insisted he actually said, "That's one small step for a man." Adding "a" makes the sentence logically correct by contrasting an individual human with the whole human race. Later linguistic studies of his Ohio accent suggest he may have spoken the ”a” too quickly or quietly for the radio to catch.
  • Human footprints, a golf ball hit by Alan Shepard, and 96 bags of human waste still remain on the lunar surface after the Moon landings.
  • Kallen Kozuki is the most unselfish character in Code Geass. On top of that, she also dresses as a bunny girl at one point in the show, her last name means ”red Moon,” and countless anime fans across the globe have been so enamored by her fighting spirit and iconic look that they have created vast amounts of fan-art in her honor. So, I think the best way to end this post is with the classic Japanese story about a rabbit who was so selfless that a powerful god decided to honor it by placing its image on the Moon as an eternal reward.

Here are couple of links, if you are interested in reading more about the Moon or the Apollo 11 Moon landing!

MISC Let's make 1081 episodes of Code Geass

Inspired by this post.

Copy and paste my comment from there

Who could ever forget episode 261 where Lelouch and C.C have sex the whole episode.

Or episode 594 where Lelouch and Shirley have sex the whole episode.

Or episode 1001 where Lelouch and Kallen have sex the whole episode.

Or my fav episode 396 where Suzaku and Euphemia have sex the whole episode.

Or this episode before the finale where Lelouch and Suzaku finally have sex.

Nobody cared about episode 665 where Ohgi and Villetta had sex the whole episode.

QUESTION About Crunchyroll re-adding Season 1

So in april of this year i bought a crunchyroll subscription because i wanted to watch anime legally (i don't want to pirate anymore), and wanted to watch Haikyuu. I remembered i wanted to watch Code Geass badly, and so i searched for it, but they didn't have licensing in Romania. Fast forward to this August, i randomly saw that Code Geass was somehow available here too. Ecstatic, I renewed the subscription and began watching s1. It was great, and the cliff-hanger was very good. But then, when i went to R2, it said that the videos are not available. Do any of y'all know where to see exactly what anime was added/readded on CR every month?

DISCUSSION C.C Geass is underrated

When looking through some of the rankings for geass power. I usually see Lelouch’s or Princess Shamna’s listed at the top. Moreover, a number of people I saw listed C.C’s geass as weak. Which for context, her’s was to make anyone around her fall in love with her.

Now I know that love can be interpreted in different ways, and I know people commit horrible things in the act of love. My point is tho, if we assumed the general sense of love that most people have. Wouldn’t her geass make it impossible for anyone to actively want to hurt her? We don’t know the details or conditions for the geass, but I’d venture to say that her geass made anyone she interacted with love her unconditionally. If that is true, most geass users wouldn’t even be able to consider hurting her.

Was more so curious why people downplay it.

DISCUSSION Lol, in the Middle Ages, Code geass the British could have recreated the ODM gear.

Post image
11 Upvotes

Sakuradite is a highly efficient fuel that is suitable for creating an ODM gear. Moreover, this version of the ODM gear will last many times longer than in Attack on titan. Considering that this substance was known back in the Middle Ages (it was called the Philosopher's stone, if I'm not mistaken), the British could really create an ODM gear. By the way, this was a cool premise for how engineers came up with the idea to insert pneumatic harpoons into the Knightmare Frames.

DISCUSSION Hot Take: It was a good idea to make an alternate movie timeline Spoiler

Thumbnail gallery
34 Upvotes

In my opinion , of course, I think it was a great idea to make an alternate timeline. I realize it was basically an attempt to make more money by the studio but i dont really care about their motive. It gave me another hance to go through the series (i have watched the series 4 times), with a few changes here and their AND the resurrection movie gave it a happier ending.

Now, hear me out. I LOVE the OG code geass ending with my life, its my favourite anime of all time but it was bittersweet ending and IT FITS. I am not saying it doesnt fit, it absolutely does but i am a sucker for happy ending so in my eyes having two timelines. one with requiem and one with resurrection gives a sense of closer in BOTH WAYS to all viewers. they have the ability to choose the ending they want. I loved the finally talk between CC and Lelouch (how he changes his name to L.L) and in my head canon while travelling together they visit Nunnally and Suzaku sometimes too.

TL;DR= I love the alternate timeline idea because its another way to rewatch, just for fun sake AND gives us the ability to choose the ending we like or even make them co-exist in the head. really no reason to believe one ending to be more true than the other. (I love both endings)

QUESTION How would you picture the Shattered Glass version of Code Geass cast?

Inspired by Code Prime, I'm planning my own Code Geass x Transformers fic. I'm planning to add some Shattered Glass element in the story. Like maybe using Karma Suzaku from Re;Code as a base for a SG Suzaku, also a SG Naoto (Kallen's older brother) who's alive in his universe. However, I'm blocking on how to picture Shattered Glass versions of other characters.

Normally, in Transformers Shattered Glass stories, good guys are bad and bad guys are good. Yet, it doesn't work too well when all characters are in shades of grey. I mean, the Black Knight might be fighting to liberate their homeland, but their still terrorist. Lelouch's reason to fight might be to find his mother's killer and create a peaceful world for his younger sister, but he's killed quite a few people to do that.

Should a Shattered Glass Kallen become an ironic racist that embrace her britannian heritage and is means toward Elevens? I feel like writing this is the short route to getting burn on a stake by Kallen's fans. Although, maybe it could work, if I take cues from Angelise Ikaruga Misurugi from Cross Ange. Given that before she learns she was a Norma all along, with her parent covering up the truth from her and the world, she was openly racist toward Norma's.

Edit: A possible alternate take on Kallen. How about a less fiery personality, more cool headed. Maybe even a honey trap assassin? Like she works as an escort and goes after high positioned individual to steal intelligences or dispose of them. (I feel like this one could trigger a negative response from Kallen's fans.)
