Hi everybody!! Urgent question to ask but I am transferring from a 4 year out of state university to a California cc in order to apply to the UCs/USC. I got sick for my Macroeconomics course I took in the spring and missed the final for it. My professor gave me an incomplete grade however I will not be returning in the fall to complete the course since I decided I want to transfer for this semester. The academic petition team told me to do a late withdrawal petition. The only issue with this is I already withdrew from the same Macroeconomics course last fall. I was retaking this spring and if I withdrew again, this would be my 2nd time withdrawing from the same class. How will colleges such as USC or the UCs see this? Will I have any shot at the top UCs if I do withdraw for the 2nd time and take the course again? Please give me advice on my situation. If anything Im planning to book a flight and spend a few days at my previous college to take the exam anyways but would prefer not to do this. Sorry Im just freaking out about this 😭

would it be recommendable to transfer to other schools (for instance, dlsu) for 2nd year, after finishing 2 terms in my current college? or would i be irreg in dlsu already? same course pa rin po.

Hi! I'm a freshman in cc here in connecticut and i want to apply as a transfer for fall of 2027. UConn (ACES).
I attended my first classes last week and tho i l think my teachers are not bad–I *allegedly* cried in the bathroom for ten minutes straight.

I'm thinking of doing nursing but I know uconn nursing is veryy hard to get into. Also I don't know if healthcare is for me so ACES would be great to explore different options. Marketing/Sales is honestly my option number 2 and I know how much the university you go to influences where they hire you.

I just want to hear about everyone's experience if they had transfer as a sophomore to uconn. I'm also very worried about the tuition and hoping that everything works out and that I get financial help from the school and find scholarships too.

Hi y’all, I’m a current college sophomore in the state of Ohio. Ever since my first semester here, I’ve felt immense loneliness that’s been chewing at my self-esteem and mental health since then; it’s gotten to the point where I need therapy sessions 3 times a week. I’ve done everything that I possibly could: I’ve joined organizations and clubs, I’m involved in research and tutoring, I’m going to events and putting myself out there. Yet for some reason, nothing comes out of it nor do any of the friendships last long (i.e., a “friend” from freshman year and my current roommate has started to ignore me). I’ve been considering transferring because of this and because of the social culture at this campus (there is a HIGH emphasis on hookups and drug use that I’m particularly uncomfortable with, and I know that this is the case at other colleges, too).
Now, the college I want to transfer to is a community college back in Texas, close to where I grew up. Friends of mine and acquaintances go to this community college, and I miss the connections that I had with them. I know that I can possibly make a connection similar to that here at Ohio, but I’ve tried and I feel incredibly burnt out. My mother is opposed of me transferring because I have a) 2 more years left at this college, b) a “full”-ride, and 3) I’ll put myself into debt by transferring and ruin my chances of “living to my potential.” I understand the full-ride scholarship aspect, but I don’t want to jeopardize my mental health more than I already have.

I guess what I’m trying to ask for is advice and input and anything else. Thanks y’all.

I am an international student currently studying at Monash University Malaysia, diploma of business y2s1. I am planning to transfer to Australia. But, my wam is 66. I actually think that the wam might improve this sem, maybe will get around 70-71. I want to know how big of a role does wam play in transfers. Is 66 enough? Although the published minimum is 60. I just want to know how much do i actually need to have to be eligible for a sure shot.

I am curious as to what materials are shared in a transfer application for the spring semester if I am a freshman. What materials do I submit, considering I won’t have a college transcript because the application is due before first semester ends?

I am applying to be a history major in LAS, I am currently a history major at Uic with 17 current credits I gained before college from various IBDP And AP classes, and am currently taking 18 credit hours. Are freshman transfers common?

I want to transfer out of my community college as soon as possible preferably after one year.

I really want to go to school in either California or NYC which narrows my options down A LOT
especially considering that I want to do my undergrad in Industrial engineering.
The schools I’m interested in are NYU, Columbia, USC, UC Berkeley, and U San Diego.

I’m aware NYU does not offer industrial engineering as an undergrad study but instead through their M.S. program. Which is discouraging because that would add another 1.5-2 years of studying aka another couple years to pay for. But then again I don’t want to completely rule it out since I do want to keep my options open and not fully commit to industrial engineering so early on.

My highschool GPA was a 92.5 / 100 so my main reason for going to CC was because I wasn’t sure on what I wanted to do with my life and I didn’t want to use thousands of dollars of my mom’s money while trying to figure it out.

I was test optional when I applied as a senior in high school, but I am thinking of retaking the tests a few times and hopefully score a 34-36 because I think that would really help my application. I got diagnosed with adhd and ocd last year and I would definitely need accommodations to help make that happen but when I applied for them last year I was denied.

I was waitlisted at NYU when I applied last year, and rejected from USC.

Should I reach out to the transfer counselors at each of those schools and ask for advice? Should I join Phi Theta Kappa?

I’ve come on here to ask for help hoping someone might advise me on my next best move, advice on what I should be doing to stay competitive in the transfer applicant pool, and if anyone knows of any tools where I can find trustworthy scholarships to apply for.

I just started Community College and I'm majoring in architecture. I know that I'm doing my prerequisites right now and I haven't jumped into my major yet, but l just want to some experiences and advice. I'm planning on transferring to FIU, but I'm open to other options. I know that if I want to transfer to a school that I have look at their website to see what classes they count as credit. This post is mainly targeted towards people who went to CC in south Florida mainly Broward College. I'm open to niche experience and teachers to look out for.

For some context, I am a new freshman at an out of state university near me. It is almost as cheap as my own in state college, but a bit more reputable then my in state. I'll be honest I got screwed in my college apps. My only t-30 I got into was UF if that counts, but decided not to go as it was far and I just did not want to have to live in Florida. (Which now I regret a little). I was initially going for pre dental at my state school with a dental school, with a pretty good pipeline, but I'm not too sure about that. If I were to transfer it would be for Econ and I definitely would like to get into a better "target" school for that. I've done some research and my classes are going to match like the path I can transfer for that major, but I think I just need a bit more advice on how to really get a good application, since I'm aiming for harder schools, (UVA, UNC, BU, BC) for some so I would really want a better school for my major. I'm just nervous because I feel like I won't be able to get good letters of recommendation either. I was also wondering if they consider my high school grade/transcript and do I need to ask my old high school for that too. Is there anything else I need to do to get into those schools (Ik about keeping a good gpa). I also got a 1470 SAT so wondering if I should send that or even retake it.

Hi guys, i know this question is a long shot but okay here it is. I want to transfer from UIC to UIUC but my GPA is 2.95. Also, the only reason I took a year off is to pay for school because I couldn’t afford it. But I caught up and I rather transfer than to go back to UIC. But I want to know if I should try my luck or just go back and get my GPA up at UIC.

Would it be worth it to transfer from PUP to UP as a Broadcasting student?

So I filled out my FAFSA I have a -1500 SAI so I would qualify for the most amount of federal aid. But had some things happen and missed a fall deadline.. anyone know of any good schools I can apply to?
