NOT BENTLEY! Was really hoping we’d keep him over Giddens

13

u/Goldstar12 The Maniac 2d ago

Giddens still sucks as a blocker

4

u/theguytomeet Eason SZN 2d ago

He just sucks at everything bro

2

u/CK4browsing 1d ago

He was looking decent as a runner at least in the last preseason game.

7

u/MrKittenz Mr. Jaffers 2d ago

Should get on practice squad hooefully

1

u/Visible_Nail4859 2d ago

I think someone will sign him. Could be wrong though.

1

u/MrKittenz Mr. Jaffers 2d ago

That would suck

3

u/Undersized_Eggplant 2d ago

Got rid of Castle too

3

u/Visible_Nail4859 2d ago

Yeah, I loved his game, but he’s more of a FB type and in the modern game, I understand it. He was definitely balling too though.

1

u/Undersized_Eggplant 2d ago

Id rather have him over Giddens. Giddens doesnt do anything that McGowan doesnt do better.

Holy shit released Wooden? They better have SOME plan at DT

12

u/NovelsandNoise 2d ago

Same plan as the old plan. Buck, Grove, Tomi, and flexing in a big edge rusher like JT for certain situations

12

u/Mickeydsislife 2d ago

My guess is Tim just played himself into a roster spot.

11

u/Snuffy8 Baltimore Colts 2d ago

Jonathan Taylor 1200 yard rushing/ 11.5 sack season loading 😤

Jk 😂

u/Vancoor NONE SHALL PASS 2d ago

None of those are a nose option.

1

u/NovelsandNoise 2d ago

Grove but I agree I’m eager to see our plan for NoseB

3

u/Vancoor NONE SHALL PASS 2d ago

Right. Maybe I didn’t make it clear, but that was my point. Someone needs to be able to defend the run if Grove and Buck take a rest/get hurt

I'm guessing they liked what they saw from Smith enough. Hopefully they can coach him up a lot.

14

u/RussIsAnOkayGuy 2d ago

Stickied and appreciated!

14

u/AkFrosty1 2d ago

Well… I guess they like Tim Smith? The Wooden move is strange.

13

u/Conscious-Judgment45 2d ago

Tim Smith is strong has hell. He stood out at the preseason game to me yesterday. Granted it's freaking preseason. But he tackled the runningbacks hard and brought them to the ground immediately.

u/mvbighead 1d ago

It really isn't that strange. Franklin was a salary dump. Wooden was an option for DT depth. One might think that because he was acquired in trade, he was more highly wanted. Reality is we got a camp body to try out for a player we were going to cut anyway.

u/grapplerone Indianapolis Colts 2d ago

Damn, Titans waived Will Levis

11

u/Dependent-Target-272 2d ago

literally no franchise QBs in that draft.

10

u/user78804180 2d ago

Fuck it, Levis is better than Leonard

5

u/grapplerone Indianapolis Colts 2d ago

My thoughts exactly, if they get a shot at waivers I’d definitely give him a whirl

-3

u/Buttcrush1 2d ago

Levis would probably be better than AR. If he got here on an actual team with an actual coach I think he could be a Minshew level player

8

u/qmoney1213 Robert Mathis 2d ago

The packers have a chance to do the funniest shit ever

10

u/phatman_13 TONTOOOOOOOOOOO 2d ago

Goodbye Grupe, you were solid when we needed you

16

u/DaBlakMayne Andrew Luck 2d ago

Surprised we cut Wooden after trading for him. He must've been really lackluster

8

u/Undersized_Eggplant 2d ago

Will be interesting to see if Castle or Giddens hold onto that 3rd RB spot

3

u/Prof172 2d ago

I think it’d be hilarious if we just kept 2 rbs. Could probably get one of those guys to the practice squad for a game day call up.

1

u/Undersized_Eggplant 2d ago

Maybe get them to the PS if they dont get poached.

2

u/Undersized_Eggplant 2d ago

Guess that answers that question. I would have kept him over Giddens

5

u/Far_Drummer5003 2d ago

Thank you so much!

5

u/grapplerone Indianapolis Colts 2d ago

Any word yet on kickers? Trade coming? Keeping both?

The suspense!

6

u/Psyren1317 2d ago

Blake Freeland just got released

5

u/LuciusLuscinia 2d ago

2 years ago it would have been surprising.

2

u/Obi2 Angry Horse 2d ago

This was unexpected right ?

3

u/bigloudbang 2d ago

Didnt surprise me, he was a roster bubble guy

2

u/SkepsisJD Baltimore Colts 2d ago

Must have just not recovered well from the injury last year. He was pretty bad in preseason. Shame.

6

u/Embarrassed-Heat-716 BELIEVE 2d ago

Nice bro 🙌🏿

5

u/grapplerone Indianapolis Colts 2d ago

Lot of QB cuts going down.

5

u/drugsarebadmkay420 Jonathan Taylor 2d ago

Hell yeah

4

u/user78804180 2d ago

OP you are missing Jimmy Morrisey

3

u/xxxxxxxxxtra Downs with the Sickness 2d ago

That’s my bad. I don’t have Fowler notifications on.

4

u/Any_Baseball_8747 2d ago

I think Bentley can stand up and block and is a better all around player than Giddens, which makes me think this was a popularity contest in a way as the whole team came out to congratulate him on his TD. Chemistry is a factor, but if he whiffs out there on a 3rd down and Danny get's earholed them I am calling for his head!

4

u/Well-Paid_Scientist Indianapolis Colts 2d ago

Freeland needs to go. I thought Wooden (that's how you spell his name? thought it was Wooten) and Bentley looked decent in the preseason games, but what do I know?

2

u/InternGreg Jimmy’s Intern 2d ago

Freeland gone

2

u/faraamstuckathome Doomer Tumors 2d ago

I’m bummed about Castle.

1

u/FearlessFreep117 2d ago

Meki Rodgers

1

u/Aggressive-Major-584 2d ago

Where tf is dalton tucker?? He should have been first on the cut list

17

u/I_dream_of_Amarillo Lakitu Latu 🎣☁️ 2d ago

No. Tucker’s not bad. Just bad at Center. He was a UDFA from a couple years ago that’s started at guard in injury situations.

10

u/SoyeonsNeverland Indianapolis Colts 2d ago

He's fine, he just shouldn't be playing snaps at C when he did.

5

u/grapplerone Indianapolis Colts 2d ago

He was just being rotated in as C to see if it would work.

Obviously not, ask him.

-34

u/1omniXLR8trix0 2d ago

Go ahead and cut Keenan Allen. Just lost all respect. Literally fuck that guy. He’s just admitted he’s completely fine with killing a child

8

u/Deep_Negotiation443 2d ago

He’s not getting cut

5

u/SkepsisJD Baltimore Colts 2d ago

Bit of an overreaction lmao

6

u/Dependent-Target-272 2d ago

When did he do that?

-20

u/1omniXLR8trix0 2d ago

When he got being the wheel of a potential deadly weapon while intoxicated. If you are able to do that, that means you are ok with the possibility of hitting a child

8

u/Dependent-Target-272 2d ago

at 2am or whatever? lol ok

6

u/Ecstatic-Product-411 Jonathan Taylor 2d ago

Oh fuck off. Lol

-14

u/1omniXLR8trix0 2d ago

You say as you get being the wheel of your lifted ass truck with a 5th in your hand. “Oh I don’t remember a speed bump there”. Nope. Just a fucking child

11

u/Ecstatic-Product-411 Jonathan Taylor 2d ago

You're fighting figments of your imagination.

3

u/1omniXLR8trix0 2d ago

Or I’ve experienced loss at the hands of a drunk driver so I’m pretty vocal about my opinions. Despite how cruel most of humanity can be regarding the subject most of the time. The amount of people that just accept it as ok is wild to me

9

u/Ecstatic-Product-411 Jonathan Taylor 2d ago

No one here is saying he isn't a fucking moron. And I am sorry if you experienced a loss. You are carrying yourself like a jackass here.

5

u/Dependent-Target-272 2d ago

people make mistakes. we have no idea what happened yet. chill.

-9

u/1omniXLR8trix0 2d ago

Downvote me all you want and just accept you’re also ok with the fact that multi millionaires get away with driving intoxicated constantly. And by comparison, you are also fine with children getting hit. Sports aren’t everything people. Real life matters more. They can’t just keep getting away with it. There needs to be more punishment

4

u/LuciusLuscinia 2d ago

I don't really see how this is a millionaire-specific issue, there are 800,000 DUI arrests every year and even regular people usually get a fine and possibly probation for a first offense.

4

u/1omniXLR8trix0 2d ago

Humanity is a fucking joke. Just let the rich get away with whatever the fuck they want

2

u/ColtsStampede 2d ago

You do realize that the typical sentence for a OWI first offense in Indiana with no injuries and no minors in the car is 240 hours of community service and a $500 fine? Not for rich people, for everyone.

4

u/Undersized_Eggplant 2d ago

Dude...no child was hit...no one is saying its ok for children to get hit...no one is saying what he did was fine...he was just right at the illegal limit to drive so he also wasnt black out drunk...calm the fuck down.

-14

u/FearlessFreep117 2d ago

Go trade AR for a LB

-28

u/HaywoodJah-BlowMe Arch Manning you are an Indianapolis Colt 2d ago

If Allen isn't on this list then we've failed as a franchise

10

u/Undersized_Eggplant 2d ago

That would be fucking stupid...
