There was a game I played on spell table where someone played a mirrormade targeting an unwinding clock. After the target was successful another player drew a pyroblast and attempted to target the mirror made that was an unwinding clock. My question is does it retain its blue color from mirrormade or does it lose its color identity when it copies the artifact? We couldnt find a ruling online when we played.

The resulting object looks exactly like an Unwinding Clock. It's not an enchantment, it's not blue, it doesn't cost 1UU anymore

Also clone effects like Mirrormade don’t target, it enters as what it copies, there’s no chance to respond once the Mirrormade spell resolves, it’s already an Unwinding Clock, a colorless artifact.

That’s not always true is it? E.g.; Flash Photography

That’s because it’s a sorcery, instants and sorceries that clone will target.

Permanents that enter as a copy of another permanent don’t target, as it enters the choice of what you’re copying is made as a replacement effect that doesn’t use the stack.

Anything that says ‘As <card name> enters’ is a replacement effect, replacement effects can’t use the stack, which means it also can’t ‘Target’, because any ability that targets uses the stack, replacement effects and target are mutually exclusive.
