1st ever legend!
My hearthstone journey began like maybe a decade ago when I first acquired interest from a streamer player by the name of Amaz who was a priest specialist then. Not sure if he’s still involved in the scene but ever since then, Priest was always my favourite deck even though it wasn’t always the meta especially when control decks never did well as the game always preferred those aggro decks or OTK type of decks. The other streamer player that I followed a bit more was Thijs.
Prior to restarting my play this mth, my last HS game was like in 2023. Thankfully had some wild legendaries so the dust helped to craft some of the decks. The climb to Diamond5 was mostly carried by murloc pally and Azalina priest. Tried a variation of quest priest in the push for legend but could never string some wins together.
Lo and behold, I really liked how Rafaam warlock had the control element similar to Priest yet it had an end game option. Below is a slightly adjusted deck with some tech cards due to the matchups I faced. The last 5 matchups had warriors, mage and rogue.

I love Rafaam but cannot get any Herald version to work consistently. I am having way more success with a draw and removal heavy version. In the mirror I'm generally much faster but sometimes the Ultragigasaur isn't removeable if I don't have Siphon on Turn 5/6.

I mostly used the herald only when I had cursed chains for removal. For 4 mana, it's a incredible economical way to swing the board in your favour.
One way to counter might be elusives that reduce the targetability.
Steamcleaner is pretty essential to winning the mirror especially if they're playing the Ultrasaur or imp gang stooge into the double 8/8 taunts.
