Help 9070 XT Micro Stutter

SOLVED: I tried MPOGPUFIX (https://github.com/RedDot-3ND7355/MPO-GPU-FIX) and disabling MPO has seemed to fix the issues for now

I get microstutter when playing halo infinite with my mouse.

I have a 9070 XT with a 9850 X3d.

I previously had a 5600x and thought that was the culprit.

-----------------

The best solution I have found is to turn 'Wait for Vertical Refresh' to always ON, which is driver level vsync that seems to help with the frame pacing.

Also modifiying the config file and putting min/max framerate to match my monitor

I already have REBAR ON. I have messed with HAGS ON/OFF, C-STATE on/off.

Any tips on better solutions?

I ran a 5700x3d with 9070xt, never had this problem. Maybe try older drivers or turn your mouse polling rate down.

I run 1000 polling rate. Are you running lower than that?

No I was running 4K no issues, back on controller now but my MnK experience was great.

Cap your frames

It helps when I crap via driver-level vsync ("Wait for Vertical Refresh"), but not sure if that is just a band-aid solution to a different problem causing the frame pacing issues.

Yeah I cant use the most recent drivers either. Crashes on bootup.

I've tried many older drivers, both with and without the radeon software.

The 500 polling rate seems to be a bit better.

There’s too much to try and debug over Reddit to get a solution here. Does it not stutter when playing with a controller?

Too many different variables, your best option is most likely fresh install windows

I already did a fresh install when I replaced the CPU, MOBO, RAM, etc.

Only component that has not been replaced is the power supply.

I am not sure about the controller. I usually only use the controller for infinite if I am on my xbox.

My halo just stopped working this week after months of it working perfectly normal. I also run a 9070xt but with a 9800x3d. I spent four hours on Saturday trying to debug and try every trick in the book. Claude thinks it’s a gpu issue but all my other games work fine so im not quite ready to try an RMA process yet. It’s an Asrock Challenger, I’ll never buy this brand again assuming it is actually an issue. I’ll be following this thread, good luck.

I have the same model.

If it just happened this week, the newest AMD update doesn’t work with Halo (crashes on boot up). Go back one driver version and you should be good

Ok thank you, it did just happen this week. I uninstalled and reinstalled amd driver twice, but I used the most current one. Thank you so much

Got the same problem but with my controllers. I’ve tried scufs, gamesir, razer controllers and everything feels the same with 0 aim assist and delay. All of my numbers are good on task manager and other tests

Disabling MPO has given better results, but need to do more extensive testing.

Try it out.

What's the polling rate of your mouse set to?

Possible bad gpu? Maybe try another gpu and see if the same problem? I’m not really sure but it sounds like you have messed with so many settings and still getting the same results so maybe a defective part.

Potentially.

The GPU seems fine with other games though so I think it is more likely to be a software issue.

I was gonna say it sounds like a PSU issue honestly

I'm not sure, because it is not widespread. Just Halo Infinite.

I have another PSU I'll check. Just have a few other things I want to try first.
