Yeah he’s definitely been a “wordsmith” post retirement haha. I haven’t kept up with him but did watch one of his movies and seen his quotes since not being in front of the masses and you can tell he misses it. But I do think he means well. Even if I think his pursuit at being an artist and this great figure to the people falls a bit short for who he is (a legendary player) without disrespecting the guy.

Joseph Smith was not Jesus, he was a documented charlatan, the Doctrine and Covenants was also written almost two thousand years after Jesus died, and the Pistis Sophia was also written in the 3rd or 4th century, well after the death of the historical figure the biblical figure was based on passed away.

No serious scholars think that Jesus was even alive at the time either of these documents was written, let alone that he wrote either of them.

SS: The link leads to the 50+ parallels in depth of Pistis Sophia and the Doctrine and Covenants. It also goes over the single contradiction I could find but even that is very murky and not concrete. This is interesting because it goes way beyond what is normally seen when people view similarities between ancient civilizations and lore because they focus on the parallels, and ignore or explain away the contradictions. Pistis Sophia and D&C contain zero contradictions.
