Root causes

Has anyone got to their root cause for chronic constipation and if so what was it?

Also did you heal/how ?

Yes I did a full panel blood and stool test, found out I am allergic to gluten! Started having regular bowel movements 2 weeks after eliminating gluten. I’ve been constipated my whole life I can’t believe I’m just now finding out

Naturopathic Drs have a lot of answers for constipation that my regular Drs never offered. They changed my life, I highly recommend contacting an ND if all you’ve heard is eat more fiber and drink more water for your whole life!

Neurogenic bowel leading to CIPO, colonic inertia, rectal inertia, hypertonic pelvic floor, dyssynergic defecation, gastroparesis, small bowel dysmotility, and so on. I’ve had a ton of surgeries and a lot of my bowel removed, but there is no healing as the conditions are progressive.

When and how did it started ? What has caused this? Dont you have lyme dissease??

I have elongated curvy large intestine (dolichosigma). I don't know if that's the only cause though. It's not really fixable except by getting surgery. I can partially keep it managed, but I wouldn't consider it healed. Diagnosed during colonoscopy.
