Use for dried Basil

Hi, I've about a kilo of dried basil, that I've used with butter, olive oil and tomatoe pasata. Is there anything else I could use it with?

It’s good on roasted chicken.

A kilo is a lot! Try stirring it into minestrone or lentil soup, so cozy.

I add it to European or greek yogurt.  For savory you can add salt and cucumber and mint too For sweet you can add walnuts/almond, raisin and cucumber Think of it as a cold soup!

Incense. Dried basil is such a disappointment after fresh that all you can do is burn it. Use it liberally in canned tomato soup and tomato-based sauces otherwise. Or as an ingredient in home made oil and vinegar Italian dressing.

a kilo is going to go flat long before you get through it, so i'd put most of it in the freezer in a sealed bag now rather than later.

and dried basil is fat soluble and slow. sprinkling it in at the end is why it tastes like nothing. warm it in the oil for half a minute before anything else hits the pan and it's a different herb.

compound butter eats volume fast if you want the cupboard space back. handful into soft butter, freeze it as a log, slice off what you need.

haha do it. keeps for months in there too, and you can slice straight off the frozen log, no thawing.

A million ways to use it. It's dried. It will stay a long time. Dried is way less flavorful than fresh, so you typically have to use more. But literally googling recipes that use basil will give you a treasure trove of answers.
