China should manufacture the cameras mounted on NATO infantry helmets, then upload combat videos to the People’s Liberation Army for analysis

Escalators with seats and desks in place of steps. Enable you to keep working during the commute.

Driving school with remote instructors. No need to put the instructor's life in danger anymore. They can now communicate with the student, while monitoring all car cameras, and can take remote control.

Earbuds that make you feel sick but also make it so you don't know that's what's making you feel sick (business idea)

Ok so earbuds are pretty popular, you could say. So what if a slightly more openly malevolent multinational corporation than we're used to dealing with started aggressively marketing these new ear buds that make you feel sick?

Everybody would want them because they'd have been programmed to want them by the billion dollar advertising campaign this corporation runs. Worked with iPhones (nobody is born wanting an iPhone, now there are 200 trillion in circulation).

Anyway that's not important for the idea. The idea is: everyone wants earbuds, so they start buying these ones. And as soon as you pop them in, they make you feel sick. So sick you can't think straight. You're dizzy, and you're going to puke (but you don't). At the same time, your brainwaves are being all fucked with so you'd never suspect it's the ear buds making you feel sick, and in fact all you want to do is have these ear buds in your ears all the time because the earbuds are making your brain want to do that, which means you want to do that too, and so you do.

businesses should build taller buildings and then put housing above the business so employees could live there and decrease their commute time

they should also include a grocery store, unless the main business is a grocery store.

A cross between the office and stargate

Because of reasons that I can't get into because it got my previous version of this post auto-modded, I was thinking we should have a new version of Stargate. The base commander is Michael Scott, Jim halpert is colonel O'Neil, Pam is captain Carter, Dwight is Daniel Jackson, and tielc is still tielc but just incredibly confused, thinking the insanity around him is supposed to be normal, and that there's just something he needs to figure out about the culture. The video documentary segments are mission debriefings. I should add, I dont mean we should have the exact same actors/characters, but that they should fill the same roles on the show

Extra headcanon because I'm way too caffeinated and getting invested in the lore: the Michael Scott character is the son of a sen@tor who is too connected to fire but too incompetent to be given real work so the military gave him what they thought was a fake research project based on dwights crackpot theory over this random Egyptian artifact. Dwight is obsessed with Michael Scott because he's the only person who doesn't treat dwight like an insane person. Mostly because Michael is too incompetent to realize Dwights theory is insane. Then, the Stargate actually works and Michael becomes dwights personal hero, and the military can't replace Michael without pissing off his dad. So now he's running the base and the goauld think he's some tactical genius because the batshit insanity is somehow working. (Mostly because of Jim and pam constantly fixing everything)

Cut out the months January through June. A year is now 6 months long.

Think about it. The year now goes July through December, then it’s a new year.

\-New Years day is now July 1st

\-most of the good holidays now happen every 6 months (4th of July, Halloween, Christmas, New Year’s Thanksgiving, Football season, etc)

\-those with birthdays in the abolished months can just pick a new birthday.

\-your age increases faster, sure, but we can just adjust accordingly. You can now only drink at age 40 (would be 42, 21 x 2, but we will just use 40 bc it’s a round number). Full adult 36. This will help our younger people now who just started getting older every 6 months. More time to get that childhood. We can iron out any details if we need.

\-old age isnt scary as much anymore. Now living to 100 seems very reasonable. Older people now have many years left.

\-40 is the new 20. Being 40 now is quite young. Average life expectancy now is 150-160. Look at how much life you have to live.

Yeah. I see no downsides to any of this. Whatever Im forgetting can easily be fixed.

A year is now 6 months. The earth goes around the sun every 2 years now.

What if we could marry franchises.... Hear me out

I wamted to post this in r/CasualConversation but automod didnt like it 🤣. What if we can marry a franchise and it has to be a store or a restaurant.

Pros:

You can get ANYTHING you want for free that they sell as long as youre married to them (this also includes if they have a gas station you get the gas as well)

Cons (maybe):

- This is an official marriage. You cannot marry an actual person nor get intimate with a person, that would be considered cheating

- You CANNOT go to another store or restaurant that sells what your spouse sells. So if you marry a walmart you cant go to: Sam club, ingles, mcdonalds, kfc, autozone**, Best Buy**, etc because walmart would have the stuff they also have (**Yes if you need special parts that walmart doesnt sell, you may go to autozone for JUST that product, appliances are allowed to be bought at best buy). Yes you can go to like a car dealership to buu a car because walmart doesnt sell those

- If you want to divorce a store for any reason or if you're caught cheating you lose half your stuff

- In the terms of medical emergencies, whomever would be in charge of you when youre single would be in charge if you still.

- this also means if you marry a KFC you cant get food from anywhere else because KFC has food.

So... Lets talk about this crazy shower thought i had

Hard Gatorade

an adult version of Gatorade spiked with rum so you can't taste the liquor and it looks normal. you can drink it at the sports event without getting judged.

also, where TF is the carbonated Gatorade? I'd love a regular electrolyte drink with spicy bubbles.

Replace money with a currency that rewards the long term survival and wellbeing of humanity

Create a currency where value is tied not just to what people are willing to pay for something, but to its long-term effect on humanity.

Activities that improve human health, preserve resources, build durable infrastructure, expand useful knowledge, restore ecosystems or otherwise leave future generations better off would generate more value. Activities that deplete resources, create lasting pollution or push huge costs onto future generations would generate less value or actively lose it.

You could still reward skill, effort, invention and risk. People could still accumulate wealth and buy nicer things. But it would become much harder to get extremely wealthy by doing something that makes humanity collectively worse off.

Maybe the currency could even discourage indefinite hoarding, so there’s an incentive to put accumulated value back into productive use.

Basically, instead of asking only “how much economic value did this create?” the currency itself would somehow account for “does this help or hurt humanity over the next 10, 50 or 100 years?”

Obviously figuring out who measures that and preventing people from gaming it would be an enormous problem. That's why it's a crazy idea.

But money is something humans invented. The crazy part to me is that we treat the current system as if it’s a law of physics instead of something humans made up and could theoretically replace.

Maybe a little morbid and I don’t really want MORE war but like maybe the next one that breaks out let’s all just send Women soldiers only to duke it out.

What kind of creative ways would they turn to for victory?
