Buyer Beware.
I ordered three sofa covers from Home Essentials and have been trying to exchange one item for days. Emails, messages, support requests, and follow-ups have all gone unanswered.
What makes this even more disappointing is that this wasn't a small purchase. I paid nearly 76,000 for just three sofa covers, which is a significant amount to spend expecting quality products and reliable customer support.
The most concerning part is the gap between what is advertised and what customers discover later. The brand promotes a 7-day return policy, yet the fine print states that returns can only be initiated within 48 hours of purchase, and any approved return amount is credited to a store account rather than refunded.
A return policy is meaningless if customers cannot reach anyone to process a return or exchange.
I am sharing my experience because customers deserve transparency and responsive support after a purchase, not just before it.
Home Essentials, I request that you urgently address my case. If I continue to receive no response, I will be compelled to escalate the matter through the appropriate consumer protection forums and bring greater attention to this experience so that other customers can make informed decisions.
A brand is remembered not for how it sells, but for how it responds when customers need help.

Help me with decor inspo for my little cabin!!

I’ll be moving into this adorably teensy lil 200-ish square foot (max) cabin on Oct 1, and I’m convinced it can be cozy and adorable. All photos are of cabin while occupied by current tenant.

The walkthrough: enter the front door, and a toilet room is immediately to the left, followed by a ladder to the bedroom. Entering further into the cabin, there is a sink and a small counter space with electric outlets and lots of big windows. Backing up to go up the ladder there’s is a big window straight ahead, triangle built-in shelving to the right, and a geometric accent window to the left. There’s not enough room for a bed on “the landing,” but there is for a floor bed in either a-frame book to the right or left, parallel to the shelving.

The vision: an efficient and aesthetic minimalist retreat designed around simple, nourishing meals, getting ready for work, and having amazing sleeps.

The vibe: open to anything (I don’t really know MY style yet), but I lean towards natural fibers and bits of folkloric whimsy. I don’t like primary or “crayola” colors but I love rich moody jewel tones or mixed earthy neutrals.

The furniture: getting rid of everything in the cabin except for the dresser, the fridge, and the toaster oven.

Photo attached. Reason I did this: an ambulance came for my dad and the crew drove past twice because our numbers weren't visible in the dark. Fixed it the next week.

Got custom backlit numbers from Dream Mailboxes, sized big enough to read from the road and lit from behind so they show at night without a spotlight. Low voltage, so they're on every night automatically.

It's made to order and more than a stick-on kit. Given why I bought them, that wasn't the deciding factor. If your place is set back from the road, worth doing before you need it.

Redoing the living room wall this weekend and trying to figure out which of the usual print sites is worth ordering from. Laid out what I found on each one but let me know if I’m missing any??

Shooting the first coat of clear on this hand-carved Western Red Cedar mailbox post. It’s still a work in progress, but seeing the natural grain snap into focus and the clematis flowers pop makes all the long hours worth it.

I've been doing this for years in multiple rentals. You buy a cheap set of sheets with a cute pattern, pin them to the wall, paint on liquid starch, and viola, wallpaper for around 30 to 50 dollars. Then, when it's time to move, you peel it right off. Easy as anything. Lining up the patterns can be tricky but that's the same with regular wallpaper. If you have smaller walls or pick a forgiving pattern, it's very very easy.

You can make the liquid starch by boiling 8 cups of water (2 liters) with 2 tablespoons of corn starch. See last picture.

disclaimer: If you have small kids that will peel the sheets off, this is not for you.

I have a patterned wall in almost every room and the more I do, the better and faster I get at putting it up. This hall way took a few hours, but it was a tricky pattern. If you have questions on the process I am happy to answer!

Was convinced I'd never like exposed shelving (too much upkeep, too "look at my stuff") now it's my favorite thing in the apartment.

Wondering if your creative minds can help me break this creative block for a smaller diy chandelier. (inspo pic attached)

TL;DR looking for advice on how to recreate the inspo pic for a corner hanging chandelier, unsure how to attach to the ceiling.

I want a three head pendant chandelier (plug in) that also has mini propagation containers hanging to add to the effect of the chandelier. The bulbs of the chandelier/pendants would be grow lights. Then the mini terrariums or glass containers for propagation would hang at different lengths around (above/below) the bulbs just like inspo pic, only on a smaller scale.
I suspect I will need to buy the three pendants separately, then splice and connect them together and into one plug for the wall. I cannot at this time hardwire the light, it also needs to be on a timer as they’ll be grow lights for active propagations, and I’m trying to stay budget friendly, so no electrician at this time lol.
I can envision how it will look hanging in the corner by the window’s edge inside, I am looking for a minimalist design, black as the primary color, using black jewelry chain to hang the containers or maybe jute(?) like in the inspo.

Here’s where my creative block hits. What am I using to hide the wires where they are connected (towards ceiling) and what am I securing the prop containers to? I need something like an outward junction box (hollow and with a solid visual bottom) but aesthetically pleasing. Something goth inspired, old, castle, worn, distressed, touch of industrial won’t hurt. I’ve considered a 1-1.5” thick round disc of stained wood, secure the connections flatly to the top side and use mini hooks on the bottom side for the containers, drill holes thru for the cords, then secure the disc to either a much smaller disc between the larger one and the ceiling, or a ceiling hook. Wires would be mostly hidden by securing to the disc. But not sure where I would find someone to cut the wood perfectly round haha, and not convinced it would be the best solution. I’ve also considered trying to find a light fixture that is ceiling mounted with three hanging pendant lights that I could change the hardwiring into an plug for an outlet, and then use a drill to go thru the light fixture ceiling casing to attach the prop containers with mini hooks so they all hang from the ceiling mounted light fixture, and then just wire it to plug in. Maybe this will be more budget friendly and easier to do?

I can envision everything except what ties it all together lol. Any ideas? Suggestions, visuals, maybe you’ve made something similar?
