Pegging Scoring Question

This hasn't happened yet for me in a game, but easily could.

Suppose that after tossing two cards in the crib, I'm left with 10-A-A-A.

During pegging, my opponent throws a Q (10), I throw my 10 (20), he throws an 8 (28).

I put down my A, he says go.

Would I count each other Ace as its own play, and get a pair for 2 then a set for 6 and 2 for 31 for a grand total of 10?

Or would I simply lay down both Aces and get a set for 6 and 2 for 31 for a grand total of 8?

I'm leaning towards 10 but others I've asked have argued for 8.

Yep. Definitely 10. Each card laid gets its own regard in pegging!

30 for 2 (pair]; 31 for 8 (trips + 31): 10 total.

A Go—- then second A 30 for 2, then third A for 6 and 31 for 2.   Or flop them both and peg 10.

Each Ace is its own play. So you will get a pair for 2 when you play the second, and trips plus 31 for 8 more, making a total of 10 with two separate pegging moves.

First you cackle with glee and then smirk at your opponent and then you harvest all of those sweet sweet extra pegging points as you lay down an ace at a time.

10

20

28

29 (go)

30 for 2

31 for 6 plus 2

Total 10 points pegged by you with the 3 aces.

Scoring goes as follows...

Opp: Q (10)

You: 10 (20)

Opp: 8 (28)

You: A (29)

Opp: Go

You: A (30 for 2)

Opp: Go

You: A (31 for 8)

Opp: restarts the counts and plays the remainder of his hand, including last card

For a second there I thought I was in the wrong group...

"Would I count each other Ace as its own play, and get a pair for 2 then a set for 6 and 2 for 31 for a grand total of 10?"
-this is correct.

Depends on who im playing with. My wife, just collect the 10. My best friend, its gunna take 4-5 minutes of chortling, laughing, taunting, a few, well, lets make sure, let's see.... more laughing, more taunting... then hopefully the 10 pushes out for a win. If its a skunk, its more like 8-10 minutes!!!

Pair of aces for 2, 3 aces for 10, and 31 for 2 - 10 pts.

  1. Each individually played

Yes this is definitely a 10. Each card gets its own play. So its 2 for a pair, 6 for a set, 2 for 31

You should have kept your Q and it would be 12 total.

He didn't have a queen...

If you mean he should have played an Ace first instead of the 10, then I'm struggling to see how he pegs 12 points if he plays an A off the queen lead by the opponent.

Ten and you should also take a victory lap
