Dish installation and grounding concerns

Hello,

I've had Directv for some years now, and am learning about correct methods for wiring things around my home. My Directv install appears to have no outside (or inside) ground connection - specifically, no coaxial grounding block to bond to the house grounding rod connection. No grounding of the rg6 companion cable, either. The cable simply goes straight into the side of the house. No drip loop, either.

The Directv rg6 comes from above and goes down straight into an opening that was already there from a previous installation (and that cable clearly shows grounding via grounding block).

Also, there appears to be no ground connection to the dish mounting bracket on the roof. The companion cable on the RG6 is completely unused.

None of this seems to be correct. Also, we had a lightning strike a couple years ago that fried our satellite box. We paid for a new one, of course.

Is this a normal install? Am I missing something here? Please help. Thanks!
