Help
Hi, I found these in my bioactive terrarium with *Dendrobates*; do you know what they might be?

Not an expert, but I recall watching a video from Tropical Tutorials (I think) where he mentioned having something like these and they're mainly just annoying. iirc he said the population got really large then evened out after a while and that there's not really a good way to get rid of them.

I saw this once in a tank I had years ago I was worried it might be some kind of parasite but another friend told me they were harmless to the frogs but could be annoying if their population exploded…..and then I saw a frog slurp one off the glass a couple days later and I went “I guess they are now free frog food” and I stopped worrying about it. Their population never exploded….it was all in balance and what I like to call a self cleaning oven.

If you're plants start wilting, remove them. They cause ammonia and CO2 issues.

Just little earth worms, perfectly fine on a successful bioactive setup

Those aren't earthworms. They're predatory flatworms that eat springtails and fruit flies.

Ive found that you can lower there numbers by baiting them with cucumber and pepper. But they’re an ugly nuisance

I rip the plants out and throw them away and submerge the tank in a bin with hot soapy water. It's the only way that has worked for me to get rid of them completely.

They're some type of predatory worm (Rhynchodemus sylvaticus maybe) that feeds on fruitflies and other bugs. I have them too even tho I sterilized stuff. I wake up during the night to wipe em off the glass, pretty disgusting but in a way..it's fine that they eat the old fruitflies that lose their dust. They hunt mainly at night from what I saw

They are Planaria. They don’t technically pose a threat. But I’m planning to starve out the ones I have soon by move the frogs and not putting new clean up crew in until they are gone.
