SCAM Alert

Hi Myself M(26) from Pune, Maharashtra.
I am actively looking for a data analyst job, and for that I'm continuously applying through Naukri, Foundit, Indeed and LinkedIn. Today I got a call in which a woman said she was calling from AAI(AIRPORTS AUTHORITY OF INDIA) and there are several openings for IT and non-IT profiles. As I spoke further, she said they have many openings for Data Analysts throughout India. At first, I thought it was a legit call, but when I asked Where did you get my profile, as I didn't remember applying for AAI, she said through an online portal. As I got a little curious and asked one more time, like, "Can you tell me the exact platform?" she fumbled. At this point, I knew something was fishy. She said we're offering you around 40- 45 K in-hand salary, and for that, you have to give an online interview. The first round will be telephonic, the second online interview and if needed, you have to come for a face-to-face interview. I said yes to that. Then she said that, as your profile is not registered and is non-referral, you have to pay Rs 1200, which is refundable if you fail the interview.
At this point, I was convinced that this is a SCAM. So I said that this seems like a scam and you're looting money from people which is desperately looking for a job. She said, " No, sir, you can check the AAI website and all." As I told her, after checking there so such job openings on the official portal, and I started confronting her. I told her this way is not gonna work; she cut the call.
I want to tell you pls be aware of such fraud calls and fake job offers; there are plenty of them in the market. I already worked with 2 companies in the past, so I know nobody asks for money or fees that are refundable if you didn't get selected for a job when they're calling you from a company. People like me who are desperately looking for a job are their main target, as we don't think that much when we get a call for a job due to excitement.
So be aware.

Looking for Data driven roles in India | Remote opportunities

Hey everyone!
I’m Pia, corporate professional with over 3 years of experience and I’m currently exploring my next opportunity in Data Analytics / Business Analytics / Analytics Consulting.
A little about me: I’ve worked across research, business, strategy and client-facing problem solving, and analytics.
I’m now looking for roles where I can build more deeply on that, particularly around data-driven decision making, business insights and consulting. I do have experience working in Payer Analytics in US Health care space .

I’m open to roles like:
Data Analyst
Business Analyst
Analytics Consultant
Business / Strategy Analytics
Research & Insights
Revenue / Sales Analytics
I’m primarily looking at India-based roles, including remote/hybrid opportunities.
I’m posting here because I figured there might be people in this community who are either hiring, know someone who is, or have made a similar transition themselves.
If you know of any relevant openings or companies I should look at, I’d genuinely appreciate a DM or referral. Happy to share my resume and background.
And if you’ve made the move into analytics/consulting yourself, I’d also love to hear what worked for you and what you’d do differently now.
Thanks! :)

I feel like I’ve wasted almost 2 years. I have a BCA and barely 1 month to become job-ready. What should I do?

I honestly don’t know what to do anymore.

I feel like I’ve completely wasted almost 2 years of my life. During my BCA, after my BCA, and even now, I kept jumping from one thing to another. I was always thinking, “I’ll do this, then I’ll do that,” but I never properly stuck to anything.

I enrolled in Data Analytics courses at two different places, but honestly, I didn’t learn much from either of them. If I’m being completely honest, I feel like I learned almost nothing.

A huge part of my time also went into chasing online earning, trying to make money quickly, and looking for different ways to earn instead of actually building a proper skill.

I completed my BCA in October 2025.

Now I’ve reached a point where I don’t want to keep jumping between things anymore. I don’t want to focus on online earning or random things. I want to fully focus on getting a job and building a career.

The problem is that I have hardly one month right now, and I feel completely stuck. I don’t know what to learn, what to ignore, what to focus on, or how to approach getting a job in Data Analytics.

I have a BCA degree, but when it comes to actual Data Analytics skills, I don’t feel confident at all.

So I genuinely want to ask people here:

If you were in my situation and had only around one month to focus completely on becoming job-ready, what would you do?

What should I learn?

What should I completely ignore for now?

What skills should I focus on first?

What kind of entry-level jobs should I apply for?

I’m genuinely lost right now and I don’t know what direction to take.

Please tell me honestly what you would do if you were in my position. I’m ready to completely focus on this now.

4+ YOE Data/BI Analyst returning to India after UK experience — need honest advice

Hi everyone, I’m looking for some honest advice from people working in Data Analytics / BI in India. I have 4+ years of experience across India and the UK, mainly in Power BI, SQL, DAX, Power Query, dimensional modelling, ETL, Azure Data Lake, SharePoint, Power Automate and reporting automation. In my most recent role, I was one of two core reporting professionals supporting 7+ teams and around 300 stakeholders, and I automated 10+ recurring reports and built 30+ reports from scratch used by 100+ users. My role ended in February, and after dealing with a family emergency for a few months, I restarted my UK job search. Because I now need sponsorship, the UK market has been extremely difficult, so I’ve decided to focus on India. I’m currently targeting Data Analyst, Senior Data Analyst, BI Analyst, Power BI Developer. I know I’m strong in BI delivery, SQL, modelling, automation and stakeholder work, but I’m also wondering whether my technical stack is enough for the current market. I’m planning to learn Microsoft Fabric properly OneLake, Lakehouse, Warehouse, Data Factory, PySpark and Direct Lake and build an end-to-end project rather than just collect another certification.
I’d really appreciate honest advice on:
-Is my current BI stack still competitive for 4–5 YOE roles?
-Because I have really at stakeholder communication, so shall i apply for consultant role in data would i be suitable ?
-Is Microsoft Fabric the right next skill for me?
-What salary range would you realistically expect for this profile in India?
-What is actually working right now for job hunting Naukri, LinkedIn, referrals, recruiters, direct applications?
-If you were hiring, what would make you shortlist or reject a profile like mine?
I’m not looking for reassurance, I’d genuinely prefer blunt feedback if I’m targeting the wrong roles, missing an important skill, or positioning myself badly. Happy to share an anonymised CV if anyone is willing to review it.

How to get your first internship?

I am in final year and i regret not doing internships earlier. I was busy in society and case comps. I am also confused in deciding the domain for internships. I know excel and i am learning SQL for data analyst. Will this be sufficient to land me a good one? And most ask for experience, which i don't have and this is the main reason why i keep procrastinating.

I just did one internship before and it is completely irrelevant to data analyst. Please tell the roadmap for getting a decent one for data analyst role.

so , i am in bangalore .. currently 22 .. so i recently switched company i have around 1.5 years of exp and i switched from a mid level company to a ai startup.

so i was working in client analytics side in previous company ..and currently working in ai automation analytics ..
if you wanna know more you can ask me details..

so my agenda of this post is my cto is hiring a junior or intern under me basically (idk why) i am only not so experienced but in both the companies i handle all analytics by myself
so probably my guess is i will handle the automation part and junior will take care of the dashboard requirements (cto said that i will tell the junior what to do and he will do it (dw i have some good query problem skills)) and ofc ik there will be some who is even better than me ..

but i think since they are finding recent grad or intern or soemthing u will have to listen to me .. (i m a chill guy)

i dont care if youre a female or male if you wanna work in startup culture (imagine it as a startup and then try for it cause it will be hectic )

and probably i and cto, and ceo will take your interview 3 rounds .. so if you wanna join or know anybody let me know..
