Hi Myself M(26) from Pune, Maharashtra.
I am actively looking for a data analyst job, and for that I'm continuously applying through Naukri, Foundit, Indeed and LinkedIn. Today I got a call in which a woman said she was calling from AAI(AIRPORTS AUTHORITY OF INDIA) and there are several openings for IT and non-IT profiles. As I spoke further, she said they have many openings for Data Analysts throughout India. At first, I thought it was a legit call, but when I asked Where did you get my profile, as I didn't remember applying for AAI, she said through an online portal. As I got a little curious and asked one more time, like, "Can you tell me the exact platform?" she fumbled. At this point, I knew something was fishy. She said we're offering you around 40- 45 K in-hand salary, and for that, you have to give an online interview. The first round will be telephonic, the second online interview and if needed, you have to come for a face-to-face interview. I said yes to that. Then she said that, as your profile is not registered and is non-referral, you have to pay Rs 1200, which is refundable if you fail the interview.
At this point, I was convinced that this is a SCAM. So I said that this seems like a scam and you're looting money from people which is desperately looking for a job. She said, " No, sir, you can check the AAI website and all." As I told her, after checking there so such job openings on the official portal, and I started confronting her. I told her this way is not gonna work; she cut the call.
I want to tell you pls be aware of such fraud calls and fake job offers; there are plenty of them in the market. I already worked with 2 companies in the past, so I know nobody asks for money or fees that are refundable if you didn't get selected for a job when they're calling you from a company. People like me who are desperately looking for a job are their main target, as we don't think that much when we get a call for a job due to excitement.
So be aware.

Hi everyone I have a Masters in Psychology and I absolutely love statistical analysis and research design

For the longest time I've wanted to be able to design real world projects that can create a huge impact from a psychological point of view

I'm good at identifying variables and hypothesising

But I have no clue as to how to begin with real code and python libraries to engineer analyse and present applicable insights from raw data

I would like to transition from therapeutics to behaviour science for businesses very soon

I think this field of DATA ANALYTICS has also already become too much saturated , crowded and highly competitive

Even People from good college, having good skills and internships are struggling to land even Entry level job

I have already seen many cases

Candidates having all the requirements struggling to land job

What could be the solution to this issue ? As it's said no matter what the situation there is always some way to move ahead

I am in final year and i regret not doing internships earlier. I was busy in society and case comps. I am also confused in deciding the domain for internships. I know excel and i am learning SQL for data analyst. Will this be sufficient to land me a good one? And most ask for experience, which i don't have and this is the main reason why i keep procrastinating.

I just did one internship before and it is completely irrelevant to data analyst. Please tell the roadmap for getting a decent one for data analyst role.

Hi everyone, my name is Akhil. I recently completed my Bachelor’s in ECE (Electronics and Communication Engineering) in India, and I’m planning to pursue a Master’s in Data Analytics at NCI for the January intake. I have already received an offer from NCI for the MSc in Data Analytics.

Now I have to make a big decision about my career, and I would really appreciate some honest advice from people who are already in Ireland or have experience with the Irish job market.

Since I don’t have any work experience, is it worth doing a Master’s in Ireland, especially at NCI? After completing the Master’s, how realistic is it to get a job in Data Analytics or a related tech role? I understand that getting a job is not guaranteed, but I would like to know how the current situation is for fresh graduates.

I also have some questions about living in Dublin:

* How difficult and expensive is it to find accommodation?

* How is the part-time job market for international students?

* On average, how long does it take students to find a part-time job?

* Is my expectation of finding a part-time job within 3–5 months realistic?

My second option is to stay in India, prepare for a suitable tech role, and get a job here. After gaining 2–3 years of experience, I could consider moving abroad again. However, the job market in India is also quite competitive, and I feel that with proper coaching and preparation, I could potentially get a job within around 6 months.

The estimated cost of my Master’s in Ireland is around €12,000 for tuition fees, plus approximately €8,000 for my initial living expenses and flight costs for the first five months. After that, I would have to manage my living expenses through part-time work.

So, I’m currently confused between these two paths:

Option 1: Go to Ireland for the Master’s, build skills and connections, and try to secure a full-time job after graduation.

Option 2:Stay in India, focus on getting a job and gaining 2–3 years of experience, and then consider moving abroad.

I would really appreciate honest opinions, especially from people who have recently completed their Master’s in Ireland or are currently working there. Please share your experience regarding jobs, accommodation, part-time work, and whether you think this investment is worth it.

AM I ON RIGHT TRACK FOR DA ROLE AND OTHER NON TECH

Hi everyone

I have 2 years 4 months of experience. I started in May 2024 as a Business Analyst at a small startup. It was remote, and I eventually got promoted to Team Lead. After 2 years, I was earning around ₹7 LPA.

In May 2026, I switched to Times group as a Data Analyst at around ₹10 LPA. I've been here for 3 months. My work is mainly around reporting, product analytics and growth using GA4, SQL, Excel, etc.

I was excited about the switch because I wanted experience in a bigger company, but I'm finding the transition quite difficult.

A few things I'm dealing with:

1. Previous job was remote; this is 5 days WFO. I travel Delhi → Noida, around 1.5 hours each way.

I'm outside for around 12–13 hours a day because of work + commute.

1. I got very little KT because the person handling the work was already serving their notice when I joined.

2. I've mostly had to figure things out myself while the expectations are quite high.

3. I'm expected to contribute to revenue/growth, analytics and AI-related projects, but I haven't had much mentorship so far.

4. There have also been layoffs recently, which has added to the uncertainty.

I'm struggling to meet expectations and my confidence has definitely taken a hit.

My manager has scheduled a performance review on Monday, and I'm not sure what to expect. They might fire me i think.

I'm trying to decide what the best career move is:

Should I start interviewing while continuing this job?

Or should I give this role all my effort and try to improve?

How badly would leaving after 3–4 months affect my CV?

Would you consider this a good enough reason to leave, or am I just having a difficult adjustment period?

What would you recommend I discuss/ask in the performance review?

What would you do if you were in my position?
