Label your post![Unlabeled] Garbage devs
What a horrendous dev team. The state of this game on xbox is beyond abysmal and anybody saying otherwise is ignorant. They couldnt care less about our criticism and just keep pushing out garbage slop updates. $30 and 2 years for Badlands to be unplayable will be the cherry on top.

Yeah I mean, badlands isn’t even worth considering with how bad the game performs right now. If we don’t get the native res update we were promised, the game is good as done as far as Xbox servers are concerned. We waited for a year for 1.29 just to have it ruin legitimately everything. So I don’t hold much hope anymore. Praying I’m wrong though

Ive been out of the loop. Did they seriously introduce forced cross play? I specifically bought an Xbox to play Dayz instead of just playing on my pc.

Kinda not really. In 1.29 they made it so players on Xbox and PC share the same servers and you can’t turn it off, however it’s only for the PC players who play DayZ with the Xbox App, most likely people playing with PC game pass. It does not include the players who play DayZ on Steam. When I looked into the ratio of DayZ players on PC, apparently by 2026 statistics, an estimated 95% of PC DayZ players are on Steam, not Xbox app.
Personally I’ve never encountered an obvious hacker since the patch but I always play on mid pop servers anyways

I got killed by 1 hacker on xbox before the patch to make the pc players on mnk servers only. That's it. Didn't ruin my love for dayz. Just another death, back to shore and keep playing like normal.

Are you sure about this? A friend of mine joined me on Xbox from his PC (this was when they could get into both m&k and controller-only servers.) He had just bought a new PC and was excited about using it. And I’m almost positive he bought the game through Steam.

I’m not 100% sure about it because I only play on Xbox and I just got this information by googling it. The information I found online said that it’s just between Xbox App and Xbox One consoles but the source could have been full of nonsense

You're not wrong. I've always felt that the worst thing about DayZ are the devs. Hell, things from the initial trailer in 2013 are not even in game lol. So much mismanagement and fake promises.

Theyre scummy people at heart. They would actually promote cheating in their game "Its DayZ! 🤪🖐 just do it all over again!" Instead of fixing the slop theyre so proud of.

Stopped playing several updates ago. Used to run a radio station on random official servers (DJ Bob, 96.6 THE BUNKER) but stopped supporting the company after too many years of being treated like an afterthought. To hell with them. I hope they go out of business.

Do you even have any idea what dayz on xbox was like in 2019 and 2020? Cars were death traps, you had to relog to get access to stuff in your surrounding again, etc etc. They broke it again with the optimization for series but when Bohemia bought the game they eventually fixed it, original devs never fixed much of anything

Do you even have any idea what dayz is like now? You wont find a car at all... 😆 cheaters are putting them on buildings in the sky. 6 years later theyre still failing to make a functioning game.

The shamelessness of putting this game up for 70€ on Switch.
People who don't stop playing don't even consider the state of it. You need a good 2 weeks off to start thinking about it.

They are more interested in getting money for Badlands. Look at the state of Sakhal, a very poor map. With Livonia they improved a poor map, they did nothing on Sakhal. Time to find another game, they will probably charge £40 for badlands anyway.

Sakhal is my favorite map. I have no issue with their maps at all. I take issue with the fact that they let cheaters run rampant, and the devs break every mechanic they touch.

I run a server, I change the map every month as nothing is lost. Players have the same complaint not enough to it. Livonia was similar when launched, they added to it.

I get feedback from lots of players, I change maps every month. Nobody wants Sakhal.

You get feedback from a very specific group of players that have self-selected to play on your server that is set up a specific way. That’s what is known as biased feedback and isn’t at all representative of the general player population.

Its crazy that they focusing on a brand new map when animals make no noise and the flare gun is still gone while hackers rampage official xbox. As a cherry on top chenarus hasn't gotten a single unique feature such as heat waves or cold snaps, snow, a bunker, cargo crates or any sort of puzzle,

I haven’t played the game even once since they introduced forced crossplay. Really really hurt that studios standings in my eyes. Dayz 2 when it comes went from a guaranteed purchase to probably not going to get it.
I just don’t play games with PC cheaters lol. I’m not going to do it. Stop trying to force me to do it. Let me play my Xbox games on my Xbox with other Xbox players. What the fuck is so hard about that?!?
