Updaam in real life?

Saw this in the weekly newsletter from designboom. A few words from the original article:

The Besiendershuis in Nijmegen, Netherlands, a medieval toll house dating from 1525, was built in the Lower Rhenish Gothic style. The building functions as a residency for artists, writers, and musicians and hosts cultural events throughout the year... To mark the buildingโ€™s 500th anniversary, Studio Frank Havermans extends this cultural activity into the surrounding urban space through two temporary wooden structures: The Hanging Chamber and The Slender House.

Yeah, it's so brutal! I was also amused by the story - artists occupying an ancient building and decorating it in such a daring way. Just like our visionaries on the Blackreef : )

Except hopefully a little bit better of people than the artists and innovators weโ€™ve come to know too well ๐Ÿ˜‚

Funny, been there a couple of months ago and crawled up those skinny stairs. It's "not too far" from where I live and go to Nijmegen twice every year on average and that orange stuff wasn't there let's say 2 years ago. Never seen a connection with it and Deathloop ;)

"The building functions as a residency for artists, writers, and musicians and hosts cultural events throughout the year." hmm hmm, sure.

Don't expect too much activity in that little building though, it is tiny and nothing going on there but a couple of billboard with some text and pictures. :)
Nijmegen de beste! Ofzoiets.

So you're from Blackreef? ๐Ÿ˜„

Seriously though, similar "art activity" happens in my city too. Maybe on a slightly larger scale, but I understand what you're talking about. However, they don't modernize old buildings like that here ๐Ÿ˜‚

Anyway, I think it's a great place for a themed cosplay photo shoot!

And thank you for the first-hand information from a local resident!
