What do you think of this conception of God that I had in a dream?
I had a dream about Jesus and an Apocalypse different from the one in the Bible.
I dreamt that Jesus Christ was in Jerusalem, being questioned by Joseph of Arimathea and several Jewish people about the Mosaic Law, while Pontius Pilate watched from afar. Jesus becomes enraged, the temple is destroyed, the heavens darken, and the earth splits open to reveal the depths of Hell; then, time on Earth freezes and comes to a halt. Jesus sits on his throne of glory and silently judges humanity until, suddenly instead of imminent destruction, he decides to give humanity a new chance. Earth returns to normal, with everyone revived and happy, having no memory of what had previously occurred.
In other words, my dream features neither a "Devil" nor the eschatalogical events that typically define the Apocalypse; instead, the Christian God himself brings humanity to an "end" upon realizing they remain trapped in religious conceptions. Yet, rather than exterminating evil or meting out eternal punishment, the deity decides to "reset" his creation and grants it a new chance to evolve.
