Help Making Friends

Hi all! Moved to texas about a year ago and have had a hard time making any meaningful connections. What sort of stuff is there to do around Denton that doesn't revolve around drinking for a 23 year old? I feel like most things going on is for mom groups or college kids at the bars, I just feel out of place

I know the D20 tavern things does lots of social events, and while there is drinking you can just chill with soda or mock tails and play board games i bet.

Also october is coming up and they do lots of social events in the square with halloween, i think last year was like a ghost buster themed mystery or something. Also I want to say movie nights are pretty regular too at some resturanty/ bar areas.

I second D20! They host lots of events to help facilitate meeting people but people are also just very friendly there and you can usually find someone to strike up a conversation and maybe play a game with!

Check out the monthly calendar. It has things to do on a near daily basis and it’s a great way to meet people.
