Bedroom Thoughts on nursery layout?
Here are 3 layout options for our in progress nursery! Option 1 is what we currently have, I’m also adding pics of it to give a better idea of the space. I personally love it and think it’s very functional but my mom acted iffy when I FaceTimed her lol
Notes-
There’s an electrical panel on one wall so I have not included options with the crib near it due to safety concerns (unless I’m wrong about that being an issue). Electrical panel is on same wall as the window
Swivel glider has to be cornered since it reclines
Floor lamp by crib is being replaced with an out of reach wall sconce once we decide crib placement
We plan to use the large dresser for baby’s clothes, every day items etc and closet will be used for storing things (seasonal gear, baby items that he hasn’t grown into yet, etc) so I don’t plan on needing regular access but the swivel glider is easy to get around or move when needed.
All furniture has been purchased/sizes aren’t flexible so please don’t recommend alternate furniture or getting rid of the changing table (I have had friends suggest only using a dresser with a pad on top but I prefer a dedicated changing table)
UPDATE
Reporting back to say this is by far the winner (photos in comments)!! We ended up putting the crib flat against the wall, pushing the larger dresser to be a bit more centered to the room, and moved the glider to the corner under electrical panel. We tried many of the suggestions here thanks to my wonderful husband and his now aching back lol and this was by far the best option!
Main reasons this worked best for us is because this allows my chair to move away from the changing table, doesn’t feel like a tight squeeze between two dressers when walking into the room, and I can keep my pump parts in the dresser drawer which is right by the glider.
Thank you for all of the suggestions! We really appreciated the perspective from experienced parents and while all of the suggestions were great, some just didn’t work with our dimensions. We had fun trying them all out though!
PS There were a lot of additional comments either here or on other subs regarding getting blackout curtains, not having a lamp next to crib, etc and wanted to point out that we are just in the furniture placement stage. Curtains will be hung, lamp will be replaced with a wall light, and we will be anchoring all furniture etc. :)

Definitely 3. I don’t love the angled crib and you don’t want to be spending hours sitting next to the stinky diaper bin. Really cute nursery!

Layout 3 would be my pic because the rocker is closer to the crib for transfers and the changing table is closest to the door if you’re using it at a time other than bed.
I would avoid having the crib at an angle when baby gets big enough to roll because you’ll be spending your days moving it to pick up pacifiers that fall or are thrown in the empty space behind it.

Putting the crib in the corner will be a great exercise in retreiving items the baby drops down there.

Layout three for several reasons:
-It looks like a nightmare to get into the closet with the first two. We don't access clothes in there very often but we do store diapers and other items in there and I would have to struggle to get that stuff in or out
-Chair is closest to crib
-I like facing my baby vertically (?) rather than horizontally when changing them if that makes sense. So I prefer to stand at the "end" of the changing table rather than the side.
-Crib is further from door so if light spills in, it won't hit the crib as easily

My first thought was that Option 1 has the light from the door waking them up every time you go in and out, and that getting into the closet may not be a hassle now with the chair in front, but will be once you're holding an infant!

That was exactly my thought with the closet! It's not a big deal now to grab more diapers but when you're trying to hang onto a baby and grab diapers it makes it even harder.

all heavy furniture needs to be against a wall to be safely anchored.

Standard cribs do not need to be anchored. All other furniture will be anchored once placement is decided

For the newborn phase, I highly recommend the change table in a corner and point the bum towards the wall (assuming it’s easily washable paint). At some point the baby will have an explosive poop mid change, and you want it to be stopped quickly, not spray across the room and other furniture. Guess how I know…

The angled crib and chair should work great for the first year or so, but could become an entrapment hazard when the kid gets more mobile. No sweat, you can rearrange them later.
Do some kind of blackout curtain over the window. You can hang a translucent second curtain as well if you like that lighting.

The crib needs to be more opposite the door.
Dresser between the closet and the entry door. Chair in the corner as you walk in the door (first thing you see when you stand at the doorway). Crib in the corner opposite the door (upper left in your floor layout) either in the corner facing the closet/entry door or angled. Changing table near the window.

It’s not one of your options but I recommend putting both dressers side by side or getting a little cart for next to the changing table so you can easily reach V diapers, wipes and diaper cream without having to open a drawer. So I’d say option 2 (ish) but move the changing table and trash to the other side of the room and then scoot the crib over to the left. That’s also a good placement for the crib so hallway light won’t be in baby’s face if you need to open the door at night to check in on them.

You mentioned an electrical panel, but what about the location of the air vents? For our nursery setups, this was something we always took into account when placing the crib so baby doesn't get stuck in a drafty spot.

It’s option 3 for sure. Less chance of light leakage to the rocker or cub through the windows. PS. Buy good curtains for the windows. WAY more important to me than other nursery purchases. If in the budget, a double rod with shears for daytime play and heavy blackout drapes for night.

I would try 3 - having the crib close to the rocker would be better for transfers and leaves the closet more accessible.
