Game Idea Borrowed Time — my multiplayer Devvit Web experiment from the ScoreSpace x Reddit Game Jam

Hey Devvit folks!

I built Borrowed Time for the ScoreSpace x Reddit Game Jam and ended up placing #25 out of 45.

Didn't make the top this time, but I'm pretty happy that the technical experiment actually worked: I wanted to see how far I could push a real-time multiplayer game running natively inside a Reddit post.

Borrowed Time is built around one simple rule:

Your clock is your life.

Players have a limited amount of time, fight each other in real-time multiplayer matches, accumulate wins, and compete on persistent leaderboards — all without leaving Reddit.

Now that the jam is over, I'm keeping it online instead of letting the project disappear.

Playable post:

I'd especially appreciate feedback from other Devvit developers on the experience, multiplayer implementation, onboarding, or anything you think I could have done differently.

And congrats to everyone who participated in the jam. It was a fun one to build for.
