It’s not a fashion choice everybody can pull off, or would want to, but scorpions are pretty cool looking, so seems like an interesting gift.

Idk if you were like the leader of a badass gang or cartel I could see this going really hard at the leader meetings.

Gross

u/X_soulnewmegaman 12d ago
Natives did it with Buffalo Wolves and other animal hides
16
u/Peachbottom30 12d ago
Natives put buffalos under their nails? Doubt.

u/X_soulnewmegaman 12d ago
Didn't say that they used different things to make clothes
Bones from animals Skin from animals Claws from animals
18
u/Peachbottom30 12d ago
So that makes putting scorpions under your nails not gross? I don’t see the comparison.

u/X_soulnewmegaman 12d ago
I said it's useful in a fight
Like using wolf claws or bear claws

Those nails are snapping faster than a karen in a restaurant demanding free food

Since I couldn't comment because someone was sore loser and blocked it

How much coke can it hold?

u/FecalDUI 12d ago
A whole lot more than a key!

u/No-Ice7397 12d ago
Don't forget, you can smoke the scorpion when you're done too. Since apparently that's a thing now

u/Huntress_Minerva 12d ago
Wait wah?

u/No-Ice7397 12d ago
There was a video a week or 2 ago showing how people in the Middle East have been smoking scorpions to get high

I scrolled and the post beneath it was Kermit reading a book called "how to slap someone throught a screen." 🤣 wish i could add the screenshot.

Who else remembers those bug candies as a kid. They like bugs in crystal candy.. They remind me of that

unless the scorpion is alive which I highly doubt then it wouldn’t count as animal cruelty I’m pretty sure. It’s still shitty to kill something just for nails tho

And I think it's debatable whether insects experience pain as anything more than a stimulus with a set response. I am opposed to torturing them for reasons, but their world is almost programmed, and it's brutal already.

u/ContestSignificant32 11d ago
Nah. Shits dead, a scorpion would not stay still long enough to do the thing.

It's controversial and debated where the lines are with insects. Personally I dont think insects really conceptualize pain.

I am physically recoiling from the screen. Why would anyone inflict this level of cruelty on an arachnid? DiWHY indeed.

I might be mistaken, but I think OOP might be the lady who used tiny live frogs in one of her other nail art videos and was (rightfully) called out. Unsurprisingly, she was unrepentent except for some surface level “applogy” and kept trying to downplay what she did.

Honestly. This must be the top post. Like, i cant find any other questions than a few whys and all of them would have different answer.

After this, she kidnapped a bunch of kids and made them dog holes in the desert all day

Reminds me of Holes and the snake venom nails
1
u/TheJaggedBird 10d ago
At least she did that in a tasteful manner. She milked the venom from them, not killing the snakes

This reminds me of the scorpion paperweight you would find in Arizona gift shops.

I saw title and thought the scorpion was gonna get a sick manicure
I'm disappointed

u/Evan_Underscore 11d ago

I’m not trying to judge anyone.
There is the crazy idea no other animal in this existence of history. Would kill you and then turn you into a nail accessory.
Not a coat, not a hat, not even a pair of boots. Nails.

it's very last decade. the goofy thing is, they didn't need to use real scorpions. we have decals and charms

These are dumb and I would 100% get them if I had that kind of money just to get people to ask why.

Those poor scorpions died for disposable art
1
u/ContestSignificant32 11d ago
They die for much less in the wild.
1
u/thedafthatter 11d ago
Sure but their bodies can feed to ecosystem. The maker is going to rip these nails off and send them to a landfill to pollute the ground with more microplastics

u/Ornac_The_Barbarian 11d ago
Meh. I've seen worse. Literally 5 fish in plugged in blenders was the art piece. By the end of the show all five blenders had been turned on.

Look cool to me... But I'm a dude who know nothing about nail stuff... So that probably speaks volumes lol.
