Showcase Got my first ever DAP
My iPod nano died the other day and so I needed a replacement. Just days before I had a tiktok come up on my fyp about DAPs. Made me think and take an initial look but when my iPod died I knew I needed one immediately. With some research I found what I thought would work best for me. I wanted simple but good so I got the Hifi Walker H2. I haven't had much time with it but so far I'm liking it.

I just got mine this morning! Im still moving music over. And i grabbed the 3 year warranty just in case
Edit 1: i tried it out for a few hours and heres what i figured out ironically enough if you wanna use AirPods on it buy a Bluetooth transmitter because AirPods don’t work but it worked on MULTIPLE Bluetooth speakers i have and 1 out 2 of my cars for some reason in the 08 Altima the songs sound sped up?? Im still figuring that out but otherwise playlists work with the M3u method i used the program “freac”

I don't use airpods because my ears can't deal with them. So mine haven't had any issues so far. The only thing I need to pick up is an aux cord for my car. The bluetooth in my car is weird when connecting 2 devices so I just plug in my music and phone is Bluetooth. I'm waiting until my weekend to figure out the playlist stuff 😅

Congrats! Now you need rockbox and cool themes! Default ui is meh!!

As much as I would like to I know rockbox disables the Bluetooth and I need that for work so I have to pass on that.

I have an H2 and would kill for some sort of protective case. The leather one on amazon looks lame in my opinion.
Do you know if they make any cases for this one?

Looks like that leather one is the official case & they only make one case for the H2. I took a quick look on AliExpress to see if there are any knock-off cases, but I didn't immediately see any.

The H2 is such a great device. I’ve had mine since February of 2026 and it’s held up great! I love mine and use it practically every day, take it everywhere with me. I recommend looking into “rockbox” firmware. You can get a lot more settings and customization, even custom themes to look like the old iPod.
