For chef Mickey, would you go before going to the park, or go for rope drop then come back for lunch?

Going to Disneyland for the first time ever this week!! I have a few things I’m hoping I can get answers about!

First, i was looking at wait times today at around 6pm and wondering if I’ll need lightning lane!? Didn’t see any tide above 30 mins. I’m going Wednesday Cali park and Thursday Disneyland and debating lightning lane. I am assuming there are single rider lines I could go on too! Seems like the park will not be busy at all this week but if anyone knows different lmk please!!!!!

Second, are cast members around willing to take photos of me? At the castle in front of the Ferris wheel incredicoaster or the pumpkin? I don’t have a tripod but still want to get some photos!! At Disney world I know cast members are around everywhere to take pics but at Tokyo Disney sea there were none. So wondering the situation for Disneyland !!

Third, can I get some of things I have to do? Attractions? Food?

Fourth, I’m 23 and going solo, is it weird if I want to meet characters, and will there be a cast member there to take a photo if I want?

I would love a little help to bring some relatively inexpensive extra Disney magic for my daughter’s birthday. She has had a rougher than average year developing a pain condition, being hospitalized, surgery, etc. etc. etc. and we are really looking forward to this trip the beginning of October. We are going for three park days (to allow for pacing, plenty of breaks, and pool time) and staying at the Grand Californian. We are set for the show Friday night. I was hopeful for some Oogie boogie tickets, but alas, they’re sold out. I looked at the Facebook group, but I was afraid of being scammed.

Has anyone done the spa with a teen at the Grand Californian?

What else can we do to make it memorable and special?

My wife and I booked a spur of the moment honeymoon trip for Mid-October this year after receiving a ton of Disney gift cards for our wedding.

Its been years since I've been and my wife has never been before but we are both experienced Disney World goers.

What we are struggling with right now is where to eat for a nice romantic dinner. Ideally in one of the parks or in Downtown Disney would be preferred as we won't have a car and I know Rideshares in LA can get quite expensive. Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated!

Since the number of shops at Disneyland are quite overwhelming, can anyone recommend specific shops for a 5 yo birthday girl or your personal favorites? Do most shops have the same items or do all shops have different exclusive items?

I’m headed to disney world in November with my two 9 year old nephews, it’ll be there first trip to disney and i really want to make it special. we have only two full park days, the plan as is is a Epcot/hollywood studios split day, they absolutely love Star wars so will try and get a good experience there. we were thinking the next day we’d just do magic kingdom and unfortunately skip animal kingdom but do guys think that’s its possible to do both animal kingdom and magic kingdom in a day? the boys aren’t into classic disney at all so not sure how much time they‘d want to spend at magic kingdom. or would animal kingdom be the better choice over magic kingdom? So sorry for the long post I just really want them to have a great time and I’m trying my best to do all the research possible. thanks for anyone who replies.

I can see that today (Tuesday the 1st) there’s practically very little wait times at Disneyland. I understand that no one can really predict crowds or anything but would the wait times be similar 2 weeks from now? or is there anything that’s coming up in 2 weeks that would bring in more crowds than this week?

I have been to Disneyland once (way back before CA was built). And now I want to take my husband and girls (10, 7 in 2028). I am planning for an early December trip.

How far in advance do I need to book tickets and flights? What are things I should be planning for?

I'm planning a budget of 10,000 (CAD) does that sound like a good amount (flight, hotel, tickets, food, and souvenirs/experiences).

I know there are experiences that need to be booked early but like 30-90 days early. We are planning on doing one day at Universal Studios.

We went to Disney in January and only did Magic kingdom. We are 2 adults and 3 kids (10,8,3). We are going back later this month to do one day at each park. We plan to rope drop each day and will be staying in Epcot area. I was planning to buy LL multi pass for each park since timing will be tight with the 3 year old and her nap but I’ve been following wait times on the app and so many things are down to 5-10 minute waits the last few days. Now I’m torn. For MK our big priorities are rope dropping Buzz and going on big thunder. (With plenty of fantasyland rides for the toddler) We already did Tron and space mountain so skipping those this time. Would it be ok to skip LL multi in MK? For Hollywood waits still look a little longer and the big kids want to do headliners so we will probably keep it there. Epcot I’m very on the fence. We will rope drop Remys from int’l gateway and theoretically could book it to frozen and but the boys also want test track which still looks long. And for Animal Kingdom suddenly Avatar and Na’vi are like 10 minutes so should we skip multi pass there? Thanks for any advice!

My family and I are visiting during the last week of October. Does Disney typically release some sort of deal for that time period?

I understand summer is slower so they are looking to drive people to the parks, but the current ticket promos offered expire 9/26 and 9/30.

Hope you are all well. I am aware this question can have a lot of different responses but was looking for an idea.
I have been to Disney world many a time however not for the past 7 years.
We are a couple in our 40s no children looking at taking about $2k each for spending money.
We do not plan on doing many sit down restaurants this time only have a couple planned with one pre paid.
We are not staying on site and our hotel has a hot breakfast included and i believe like a light dinner also included if we require it, the hotel also has transport.
Our park tickets and hotels are included including Disney and universal!
We don’t plan on buying much merch however we will be trying to enjoy ourselves as much as possible. We will also be doing a couple of non park days on i drive etc.
We do both enjoy a drink but not too excessively the main day being Epcot for food and wine festival.
Do you think we are being realistic with a $4k spending money budget?
We will have a credit card for emergencies but we are hoping not to use it.
Any help or opinions you can give would be greatly appreciated.

So I’ve never been to Disney, not once. I’m 21 and going with my family for the first time ever. I know all about sunscreen, water, shoes, ponchos, socks, snacks, hat, portable charger and comfortable bags. Are there any real tips aside from what you can bring? All I’ve been seeing is “do this” and “bring that” but nothing from people who have been before and have been like “no one tells you this” and want to make sure I’m absolutely covering all the bases.

I am disabled, I know it is going to be a significant amount of walking and I’m getting shoes for it to break in before I go but I’m also just curious about anything I might be missing. Is there anything you wish you brought that you forgot? Is there anything you wish you did that you didn’t get to? Should I plan to bring cash or is card fine? How much money on average should I plan to spend each day at the parks? Are there any tips or tricks, secrets or suggestions you’d give to a first time visitor?

Hey guys so my roommate just bought a magic key and we go to school at UCI (Uni of Cali Irvine) and she does not have a drivers license or a physical ID besides a passport and global entry card. Does the lease agreement and global entry work? She lost her Cali ID and couldn't find it. I heard the digital DMV id works, is that still true? Thank you for all the help!

My boyfriend and I have finally booked our Disneyland trip after almost 5 years of saving up! It’s planned for our 6 year anniversary in December and I’m pretty sure he is planning to propose during the trip (he asked me how I’d like to be proposed to in the next few months and I said Disneyland…) Worst case scenario, I’ll still be a girlfriend of a wonderful man on a vacation that we have looked forward to for years! That being said, what are some of the best restaurants to celebrate either an engagement or an anniversary at either park or Downtown Disney? Hello, looking to get some info on crowds in late October, specially 22nd-24th in Disneyland and DCA. I know that the 22nd is the Boogie Bash in DCA, so I expect it to be crowded in DCA when boogie ticket holders can enter around 4. That and Disneyland will be crowded at 6 when everyone from DCA starts to make their way over to Disneyland.

Overall, I'm trying to find people with experience who have been around this time to tell me if it's crowded, average, or low crowds. Could you maybe break down how you knew it was crowded? As in was there long wait times for the rides, was it hard to find a place to sit and eat, so on and so forth. I'm a lot more familiar with Disney World so I'm not sure how Disneyland crowds differ.

Also, could you maybe give me an example or two of wait times? Like maybe how long was the wait at a Incredicoaster or Space Mountain.

Do they keep the droid depot stocked well?? My son and husband both want to build a droid while we are there. I see you can’t make reservations. Hopefully it will be well stocked while we are there in a few weeks.

We just booked it. Going to take our family on a surprise trip to DL! We are going to fly out on Christmas morning and get there around noon ( a short flight) and have 4 park days! I know it will be the busiest days of the year and likely completely sold out… but my question is - is it still possible to enjoy the magic of being there over Christmas with littles? We have a 5 year old and 2 year old who have both been before. The 5 year old has been begging to go back and they both love all things Disney!
