Newb intro

New too all this and thought I would drop a friendly hello. Im looking to learn how to read playing cards. I need to do a spell but i have nothing for a taglock on the person. I was told I could use cards while thinking of the situation in general and who needs to be effected and then draw and see if the interpretation makes sense and use that to target. Problem is, I dont know how.
