It's an ultrasound machine though... It's only echocardiogram if it's used to look at the heart... This makes me irrationally upset and I'm not sure why.

Maybe they are dutch, we call the ultrasound an "echo" or "echografie". In Dutch it works better. (Maybe in Russian it's the same for Dr Mike?)

Registered ultrasound tech here. While not echo, we often use similar, if not the same machines. Main difference is the transducer, echo usually uses a sector probe.

Also, the images on the screen are of a heart.

I have to have 4-6 echos a year (yay EDS shinanigans) and they tend to use a standard wand as the probe bruises my ribs and makes me look like I've jumped down stairs boob's first :(

I'm aware that is a heart on the screen, who knows who's though? And it's not how it looks on an echo at all

It's a ultrasound machine not an echo machine. It creates sound waves that echo off the inside of your body back into a receiver. It's on a machine not on an echo. This is stupid.
