Everyone in our store has to know how to make them, from prep to toppings to boxing. Including the drivers, which I know means that we will be expected to jump on the makeline when we get a lot of orders for them.
I'm a driver, and I personally just want to know how to prep them.

I've been cross-trained for nearly 2 decades so I don't care what job they have me do in store. Besides, I make better pizzas than most people. I like telling the customers that I deliver to if I actually made their order, cause then I get to brag about it and they usually tip me a little more.

I like making $30 an hour doing next to nothing.

Don't argue with this Australian idiot. They don't understand that $30 US is basically $50 in their Monopoly money.

u/slothxaxmatic Delivery Expert 1d ago
Believe me, it's not even an argument lol. I feel sad for the person having to think like that all the time.

Would love to know what you do for a living. Even if your a surgeon or something your still a terrible loser for demeaning someone else for doing a job no matter what it is. Must be miserable

I can promise you've never met a driver like me. 😉

u/Ok_Investigator6255 1d ago
Oh I bet I have! A dime a dozen ;)

u/slothxaxmatic Delivery Expert 1d ago
What ever helps you cope. I have what I need in life and don't feel the compulsion to attempt to degrade someone based on their job.
Besides, I've already ran sub 50%FLC on a store that did $10k a week in sales. Believe me, you don't know a dozen drivers that have done that so keep your dime.

u/Ok_Investigator6255 1d ago
Lol ok.... 10k a week? What an achievement I'm 100% sure I know 20 drivers who have actually progressed and become franchisees :) Australia doesn't have dimes :)

u/slothxaxmatic Delivery Expert 1d ago
Well that $10k a week is now $30k+ these days, but it was $10k weeks for years before I showed up. 🤷
Sorry you feel so small, but I'm gonna block you now. People that feel the need to be overly negative to strangers gross me out.
Sorry my life works great for me, good luck with yours.

I know people who bought houses, put their kids in school, and all In between while working in “fast food.”

do you even realize how poorly you come across?
do people reflexively dislike you as much im real life as they do online? I'm going to guess that they do. it's a pretty good explanation for why you would choose to behave this way anonymously.

u/Federal_Resource8148 1d ago
are yall buttering them correctly
1
u/LacrimaNymphae 23h ago
i'm not a chef or anything but what would happen if you buttered the pans with the garlic herb dusting added to the butter? would the flavor get baked into it?
i've seen people say to cook the wings like that because then they're closer to seasoned wings or a dry rub. and you can put them back in with more herb to cook longer for more flavor/crispiness if desired. ever since i saw someone mention it on this sub it's been in my head. imagine a cajun herb seasoning or butter either on the pizza crust or the wings

u/Federal_Resource8148 16h ago
no idea, im no chef either i just know the instructions cooperate gave us, butter on the bottom and garlic oil on top after cooking and i don't think there is a world where a customer gets to change the butter on the bottom since we do that during prep

Can anyone explain?

u/slothxaxmatic Delivery Expert 19h ago
We added a
Personal PanDomino™️ Pizza to the menu. It's cooked in the smaller Grey pan.2
u/jerxbear229 19h ago
I just saw. Theyre calling it a detroit style pizza!? Lmao.
2
u/slothxaxmatic Delivery Expert 19h ago
It's certainly an attempt at one. It's getting some pretty mixed reviews right now, and that makes sense, because a lot of people are still probably trying to learn how to make it properly.
The crust is supposed to have a coating of parmesan cheese on the under and outside and then it gets cheese under the sauce. 3 topping max. Finish with Garlic Oil.
I suppose it has potential, but I don't know if it's being realized honestly, we'll just have to see how the coming weeks treat it.

u/jerxbear229 19h ago
Whats the big complaint? I just get a pepperoni with extra cheese from jets when i wans a detroit style pizza, and its generally pretty consistent.

Steer the customer to the LG one topping. This is a mediocre (not well thought out) product designed by some clueless simpleton in Ann Arbor. (not since the crappy loaded chicken) FAIL
5
u/slothxaxmatic Delivery Expert 1d ago
Not everybody wants a large one topping. Maybe a parent would like to get one of these as a pizza for their child to have to themselves.
By that logic, you shouldn't bother ordering a cheese bread ever because you could just get a large cheese pizza with no sauce for the same price. People don't always want that.

u/Odd-Recommendation74 1d ago
Don't be simple. It's about the quality of the product. This product is not building the brand. Loaded chicken.....not building the brand. Read some of the issues with the quality of the product. The most important of which is the Bake

That's all way above my pay grade these days. Big D thought we were losing customers because they would go elsewhere for the Personal Pies, just like stuffed crust which I don't think we needed either.
But they think it'll get people in the door so whatever.
1
u/Head_Razzmatazz7174 Hand Tossed 1d ago
The stuffed crust made sense, though, as almost a third of our calls were 'Do you have stuffed crust?" Almost every other chain had some form of it.
The Domino is just half of a flat bread pan. You could get kind of the same thing by ordering a stuffed crust and cutting off the outside edge.

I can’t even get to the website section to upload a receipt for the deal.

It got patched because people exploited it and used the codes multiple times for free ones
