It’s the “Santa Mail” episode (1996, S18, E1428) from the 1979 series.

In this episode, Nobita overhears two children at a mall, a big brother and his younger sister, talking about Christmas. The little sister really wants a panda as her Christmas present, but her brother gets annoyed and tells her that it isn’t possible.

Nobita and Doraemon decide to fulfill her wish. So, at Nobita’s request, Doraemon transforms into a panda! They go to the two children, who are obviously shocked to see a real-life panda appear in front of them.

Later, Nobita and Doraemon take the two children on a ride using Doraemon’s Santa Claus reindeer vehicle.

I won’t spoil the whole thing, though. There’s more to the episode, and honestly, it’s a really wholesome Christmas story.

I suddenly remembered this episode and had to share it.

In this scene from “Dorami’s Trouble in the Jurassic,” the Allosaurus is about to attack Nobita and Dekisugi, while Shizuka is right there watching.

Yeah, I already know this topic isn't unique to this sub since everybody has already talked about her lol. But hear me out.

I don't think Tamako is the worst mother in Doraemon. She's definitely a controversial figure, but I don't think she's entirely the worst in the series compared to some of the other mothers.

It's obvious that she cares about Nobita. There are plenty of moments throughout the series where she genuinely worries about him, gets emotional over him, and even reflects on her own actions when she realizes she has been too harsh. She clearly wants Nobita to grow up to be a good person, even if the way she goes about it can sometimes be questionable.

So, it's not like she's outright cruel toward Nobita. She's just overly strict with him. That obviously doesn't excuse her behavior, though, because she does cross the line sometimes. She throws Nobita's comic books away, sometimes even burns them, doesn't always acknowledge his good marks, and scolds him out of frustration. There are also times when she refuses to give him dinner because he didn't do his homework or came home late.

Yeah, those traits definitely don't make her a very good mother, but she's not perfect either. She's basically your typical strict Asian parent, but she can also reflect on her actions, which contrasts with how she's sometimes portrayed. Honestly, I think she's just inconsistent.

Also, Nobita does give her reasons to scold him sometimes. He can genuinely be a slacker, and she gets frustrated with him because of that. So it's not like Nobita is always the innocent victim here.

I know this probably feels like such an unnecessary topic to discuss lol, but I wanted to give my opinion after seeing a post calling Tamako the worst mother. I think she's more of a typical strict Asian parent, and honestly, she's far better than some of the other parents in the series, like Gian's, Suneo's, and even Shizuka's.

It’s pretty cool seeing Doraemon and Ninja Hattori share the same screen!

🎞️: Doraemon the Movie: Nobita's Treasure Island

I'm a french doraemon fan since about 2014, at the time and for a while we didn't have anything in terms of movies aside of a fansub of both stand by me and movie 34 (the remake of the third one). I really loved them and still loving them beyond nostagia.

Recently I went and snatched all 45 movies with english subs (mostly terrible subs by the way but clear enough for me to understand what the caracters are saying).

I'm curently at the 6th movie (nobita's little star wars) and damn it was quite a bit boring, and i feel that way for most of previous ones. They sometimes feel like they're extend beyond what should have been. I take for exemple the scene in nobita's dinosaur where nobita and doraemon are on top of a T rex pursuing the bad guys of the movie and the thing last way too long.

I know this will be an unpopular opinion for sure and that's fine but i would just like to know if others feel that way.

PS : I will keep watching every movies in order anyway because even though I'm not having a great time each time (I just liked movies 1, 3 and 5 as of now) I'm still a fan and would like to see everything !!

I was rewatching the 2018 Treasure Island movie and realized just how deep and tragic the main conflict actually is.

It perfectly captures a painful reality: sometimes parents will give you **absolutely everything** except the one thing **you actually want**.Look at Captain Silver. After his wife passed away, he became obsessed with "saving" his children from Earth's impending doom

**What Silver thought they needed**: A high-tech ark, a stripped-core Earth, and a guaranteed survival blueprint in space.**What Flock and Sarah actually needed**: **A father. Love, emotional support, and a family to help them grieve their mom**.Silver was literally on the verge of destroying the entir planet for his children, completely blind to the fact that his actions were destroying his relationship with them in the present.

Flock didn't run away because she hated his dad, he ran away because his dad replaced love with cold, destructive obsession.The scene where they finally confront him hits so much harder when you look at it this way. It's not just a generic "save the world" anime plot - it’s a story about a broken family learning that a flawed present together is worth more than a perfect future alone.

From what I have watched Silver has to be most well written mature villain. A lot us can relate to it , especially the ones who are emotionally distant from their parents, want their parents to love them and understand them rather than just bestow whatever needed for survival and excuse it as "We provide u everything, it's more than enough".

So far one of the best movies that actually touch my heart alongside Steel troops and Nobita and the Kingdom of Clouds.

Nobita dreaming about Doraemon saving jack in the 1998 movie sent shivers down my 10 year old spine back in 2015 ... And how much of a below average movie it might be , the 2012 movie's "Reminiscing about parents" part definitely made my lacrimal glands do extra work in 2016"

Last saturday this peak was aired on Disney again after a long time so I thought to post about it.

Let's face it: Nobita, Doraemon, Gian, and Suneo fought like absolute legends, but they were seconds away from a total party wipeout.

Zanda Claus was completely wrecked, the gadgets were running on empty, and they were outnumbered by millions of Mechatopian robot soldiers. A physical victory was 100% impossible.

**People forget that it was entirely Shizuka's idea to use the Time Machine to alter the past**. If she hadn't come up with that plan and convinced Riruru to rewrite Machtopia's history 30,000 years ago, humanity would have been completely wiped out.

Shizuka isn't just a helper , she is the undisputed tactical MVP of this entire movie. Not to mention Riruru's sacrifice.

She takes care of gain and shop. Once she tried hard to get 100 marks to surprise her mom on mother's day. She writes comics and work hard to get recognize....

i have tried to follow every rule.

In very first ep. It was shown nobita and jaiko will marry in future they lineage will continue and sewashi will born in future and he has to face poverty and hard time because of nobita. So he send doremon to nobita and change his future but it means jaiko kids from nobita aren't born they are kill by sewashi and doremon because they know nobita's future. How time patrol allowed this to change whole timeline
