Discussion Was the mix of 2D and 3D the reason why The Wild Robot managed to have smaller budget?
I always hear that 2D animation costs more than 3D and that’s why studios aren’t relying on 2D anymore. I don’t know if it’s true or not, but if that’s the case then why The Wild Robot costed less than a regular 3D animated movie if there was a lot of 2D in it? Like the backgrounds, some animations etc
