Question New to dry fasting

I've only done 24-hour dry fasts till now, so I did not have to give up on my hypothyroid medications. But now that I'm planning to do longer fasts, like three or seven days, should I be taking the medication, or should I just not ingest anything?

There is a lot of contradiction on this. Some people say you can take medicine with a bit of water and dry fast for the rest of the day, but I think since the blood thickens, taking medicine might lead to complications.

please guide me

This is not the place to seek medical advice. You should work with your healthcare professional to understand the risks involved.

Having said that, I have heard anecdotal stories and claims that people started fasting and were able to get off multiple medications. Maybe a hybrid approach of 24hr dry take meds and water fast as long as you can handle so you can stay in your meds. I honestly don’t know.
