Years ago I got a webdev job offer with an EE degree but they lowballed me since webdev is the lowest paying part of software. Nowadays CS is overcrowded as all hell. I'm talking 500+ applicants for every internship. Can still apply but you're better off avoiding software besides embedded. If you're already 3rd year, you're too late for internships. Every program I saw needed 2+ semesters remaining.
You can't get by with just a NoSQL database. Learn normal SQL like Amazon RDS for Postgres. Each has its pros and cons. Understand them. So long as you're targeting software.
