Question When will it stop??
Possible gross tw??
I’m two months into recovery and when I pass gas it smells… deadly. Like this isn’t moral, it’s not okay 😭
Before, I most literally never passed gas. Or I did it very rarely and when I did there wasn’t a smell and it was SMALL and silent.
Will it ever go back to that because I’m not being funny im sick of this 💀

It does get better. When I was in a recovery program we all joked about it. I had a warning possible gas leak sign on the door. We all had a bottle of fabreeze. It's your body learning how to work again. It's a good sign an embarrassing sign but a good sign.

I was in hospital fairly recently, recovering from a major abdominal surgery, and I had to keep updating the nurses on how much gas I had passed. And one of them reminded me that it was a good sign as it meant things were moving in the right direction. I don’t know if that answers any of your questions, but like… Take it as a good sign that your body is doing the right thing. Once your insides have recovered, and the flora in your gut is back to where it’s meant to be, I’m sure things will settle.

it does pass! they are called recovery farts lol it's just your gi system getting use to food again! when i was in hospital at the beginning of my recovery my gas was so bad and embarrassing it would literally stink out the room, the nurses ended up giving me a smell absorb-er thing for necrotic tissue to help.
took a while for it to go but it does get better! stick the course! - you got this!
