I guess the repaving of Olympic View Drive was delayed after the traffic slowing was removed.

Anyhow, I was walking down OVD Sunday with my 5 year old twins when a convertible BMW (or Mercedes? I'm not sure) zoomed past us going what felt like 50mph. I almost yelled at the driver.

If this was you, slow the hell down! No one is impressed by your speed.

To the Edmonds leadership. When the traffic slowing strips come back. Can we add them to the wooded and curved sections instead placing them in the suburban areas? I would be willing to bet most the speeding happens in the woods anyhow.

Blows me away that Edmonds still uses this circular logo. Pretty much 30+ years ago I worked at a print shop and someone handed me the artwork for this logo saying it was designed by a student. This was pre-digital, the “artwork” was the solid blue on the base layer with transparencies for the screened, lighter, blue and black taped onto it on one side so they could be flipped out of the way. Two whopping bullets for lining everything up with screen percentages written on the transparencies. Getting that blue sky to look proper lined up with the top of the circle with two crappy bullets was wild. The black could be adjusted on the press. We were still using negatives and a graphic arts camera.
Anyway, just noticed they are still using it officially. It’s a good logo compared to what’s out there.

I remember when they did the repave project here (maybe a couple years ago now?). And then somehow just left this ugly textured line running through the middle of the road? It makes no sense… someone please help me understand.

A few days ago they terrorized folks at a church. I just saw a suspicious vehicle trolling the neighborhoods near Perrinville. This isn’t a far away problem, they are here. Truly regardless of your politics, this is an undertrained paramilitary group with an established track record of shoot first and ask questions never. Please stay safe and watch out for your neighbors.
