hey guys, I got my first electric skate board and after over a year of riding with it I love it, but I need to find a battery replacement for my meepo mini . water got into the battery and has corroded the board. I’m trying to locate a replacement but have been having most success. Does anyone know where I can find a 12s3p replacement for my skateboard?

I have a meepo voyager X and in the past it used to be a lot more silent when i rode on uneven roads now it makes these noises which is so annoying... has anyone had the same problem? how does one fix this?

I know the wheels are the reason but how does this even happen lol

I've had a few Evolve boards over the years, currently riding an older series GTR. My mate has the Evolve Renegade and it's just on another level.

I'll try explain the feel but perhaps someone here has ridden one and can help with my question.

Everything feels perfectly tuned and connected. No squeaks, rattles or looseness. It feels incredibly planted but still effortless to carve, with this smooth, premium, almost dampened quality to the whole ride.

I’m guessing a lot of it comes down to the trucks setup, but I’m not sure exactly what creates that feeling. Even just touching it, the only comparison I can make is to a Porsche GT3 in the way that everything 'comes together'

Has anyone ridden one and knows what I’m talking about? Evolve gets a lot of shit for being overpriced and prone to issues - I personally have never had any issues.

What boards 'feel' as premium as a Renegade and give that same tuned / dampened / from the future feeling without the price tag and negative brand perception attached to it.

I'm sure I haven't explained it well enough to capture what I'm feeling but hopefully someone has ridden one and can enlighten me!

I went with the Meepo V5 for my first electric boar and I think it's a pretty good purchase. I've reall enjoyed riding the board and it's quick for getting around locally.

Hello all! I’m currently looking into buying my first board and I have the options down to the Linnpower zephyr or the Linnpower Mine 5. My question is is there any inherent benefit to starting on one over the other? I’ve skated a lot when I was younger in regular skateboards but never really tried a long board. Any help would be appreciated!

I've officially put 1200 km on my Omniesk8 board and it's time for an honest long-term review! In my previous video, I shared my initial thoughts and praised their top-notch customer service, but how does the board actually hold up after serious mileage?

I’m a senior in Highschool and want a board to learn how to ride on and use for fun then once I get to college next year for transportation around campus since I won’t have a car I want the g2z from backfire but also don’t know my price range is that 400$ one don’t need crazy high end speed range 10 miles and prefer belt drive I hear hub motors are kind of junk I ride dirtbikes a lot and love the electric space and don’t mind mantinace just want something that won’t blow up and can be somewhat reliable any suggestions?

Ok ik they just shipped them out a couple days ago so it's unlikely but if anyone does plz tell me how.it rides im buying one the 10th with the sc1050 charger im coming from a backfire g2z belt driven and im excited for this board.

So I bought the Meepo Campus V3 off of amazon for college and the board seemed to be fine until I started using it on my college campus that has quite a few steep hills on it and I found out that the board basically stops functioning on even the smallest of hills. I am planning on returning it and getting the Meepo V5 because of the fast shipping (will arrive on wednesday) but I am concerned that the V5 will be another dud. Is the Meepo V5 worth it on terrain with hills?

Edit: I basically need the fast shipping due to how hot it is in Missouri around this season and my classes are pretty far from my dorm so walking isnt really preferable

Not only did it NOT come at all, it’s been over a month and a half now, but they also charged me $180 for shipping, and haven’t given me a refund after i’ve canceled my order entirely, Currently in a battle to get my $600 back.

I'm kinda looking into adding a board in the size of the linnpower viper or tynee mini to my collection, mostly for short distances, but also for some longer trips occasionally.

I heard some people talking that unless you are on the more shorter side height wise, they could be rather uncomfortable to ride for you.

Tbh it would suck buying it just to have it lie around and then never use it.

And since I'm 1.86 m (~6'1") I'm a bit unsure now with the purchase.

Wear a helmet. Check your trucks. Acedeck nyx z3 bushing screw worked itself loose. Speed wobbled somewhere around 25 mph. Tried braking but got bucked. Helmet and pads saved me from some deadly injuries.

I'm older and have skated since I was a kid. I want an electric skateboard. I have some questions:

1. How long before the electronics go to crap and how do you deal with the repairs? Is it worth it? Are there any boards that can be repaired easily without proprietary involvement of the manufacturer?

2. I want to carve around and use the motion for exercise. I like the way the liquid brand sticks a motor on a regular sized skateboard but I am unsure how that translates to "Electric skateboard" riding as I've never ridden an electric skateboard. What models seem the best for carving and exercise? (I know most people will say you don't get exercise on an electric skateboard, I disagree. Carving motion firms up your torso, lower body and burns calories)

3. What model do you like and why do you like it?

This is just some scatter brained questions to gauge opinions from real humans.

Hey does anyone know if this is normal or how to fix this issue?

I just got a brand new Tynee explorer pro and after un-boxing it today I noticed the right belt was not on the wheel pulley. So I pushed it in place however, any movement with the wheel gradually moves the belt back off the wheel and towards the motor. I already sent Tynee support an email just now, but thought of asking you guys for advice in the meantime to see if it is something I can fix. This is my first belt drive so I'm new to this hardware.

I've just been having a blast on this thing. I'm getting about 35-40 miles on a charge with fairly aggressive riding and leaving 20% SoC after the ride. It accelerates quicker than I'm able to hold on which is pretty awesome. Maybe I'll switch to 13T but I'm unsure about sacrificing torque. If anyone's done the gear ratio swap on one of these would you say it's worth it?

What’s the difference between phase current and battery current?
What does KV tell you?
And when you get into suspension boards and other all-terrain platforms, what still makes them a skateboard?

So I tried to put together a practical definition and glossary. Curious what experienced riders here would change or add.

What makes it an electric skateboard?

At the simplest level, an electric skateboard combines:

• Deck
• Trucks
• Wheels
• Battery
• Motor
• ESC
• Drivetrain

The motor handles propulsion and braking, but steering still comes from the rider shifting weight, leaning the deck, and moving the trucks.

That lean-to-steer behavior is, to me, the main thing that keeps it fundamentally a skateboard.

Core hardware

Deck
The main platform. Common materials include maple, bamboo, carbon fiber, and aluminum. Profile, concave, flex, wheel wells, and mounting geometry all affect how the board feels.

Trucks
They translate deck lean into steering. Common setups include TKP, RKP, channel/spring trucks, and proprietary systems.

Wheels
PU wheels usually give lower rolling resistance and more direct road feel. Pneumatic tires absorb rough surfaces better, while solid rubber sits somewhere in between.

Electrical powertrain
Battery + ESC + motor. This is the part that separates an esk8 from a conventional skateboard.

Specs beginners often see

12S
The number of cell groups connected in series. Using 3.7 V nominal per group, 12S is about 44.4 V nominal.

Ah
A measure of electric charge.

Wh
Nominal voltage × Ah. Usually more useful than Ah alone when comparing batteries with different voltages.

21700 / 18650
Cell size designations.

6374 motor
Roughly 63 mm in diameter and 74 mm long.

KV
Approximate no-load motor RPM per volt. Higher KV does not automatically mean a faster or better board—gearing, voltage, wheel size, load, and motor limits all matter.

Phase current
Current delivered by the ESC to the motor windings. It strongly affects low-speed torque.

Battery current
Current drawn from the battery into the ESC.

And something that gets overlooked a lot: two boards with similar hardware can still feel very different because of their acceleration and braking curves.

Drivetrain types

Hub motors
Compact and quiet, but wheel and urethane options can be limited.

Direct drive
No belts and a 1:1 drive ratio, but the motors sit close to the ground.

Belt drive
Flexible gearing and wheel options, but belts and pulleys need inspection and maintenance.

Gear drive
Direct gear engagement with no routine belt maintenance, although it can add cost and mechanical complexity.

A few ride-feel terms

Support feel
The resistance that limits deck lean and helps keep the trucks centered.

Return-to-center
How strongly the board wants to come back to neutral after a turn.

Throttle linearity
How smoothly power builds as you move the remote trigger.

Thermal derating
When the system reduces power because the motor, ESC, or battery gets too hot.

Where it gets interesting

Most boards roughly fall into a few formats:

• Traditional longboard-style platforms
• Integrated carbon decks
• All-terrain platforms with pneumatic tires, channel trucks, suspension, or more complex chassis designs

The last category is where the definition starts getting interesting.

Some modern boards look closer to small vehicles than traditional skateboards, but if the rider is still steering through weight transfer and deck/truck movement, I’d still put them in the electric skateboard family.

What would you add or change?

I’m especially curious how people here classify suspension boards, channel-truck boards, and hybrid all-terrain platforms.

What's the best commuter boards of 2026? I have done some googling and Zealot S3 and X2 seem like solid. But I don't know where to look really. Speed isn't a priority for me I am happy just having fun going from A to B. I'd love something that can tackle a bit of gravel and dirt road but its mostly going to be a city commute board
