After some fun chats with many of you, i decided to make this post/thread as a test to see if what many have messaged, is true. The gripe is that no one reads the highlighted posts, uses the search bar, no new bands are recommended, and there isn't enough engagement/excitement when someone makes a post about a band that should be exploding with comments and energy. As we try to make recommendations easier to find, i ask that you TRY to use this post to make recommendations/ask for recommendations as a way to limit excessive posts and to keep the energy and conversation in one thread as it pertains to recommendations. If you can, try to add FFO (For Fans Of) information when suggesting a band. It gives the community a chance to decide if that band is for them or not. I just ask that you're honest and don't dishonestly list bands in the "FFO" details just to get people to listen if you're promoting your band or a friends band. I want the community to trust the recommendations thread and feel like they're getting useful information about the bands posted, their obscure side projects, deep cut info that geeks like to know/share, etc. I want it to be fun, special, and informative. Let's give it a shot! Let the recommendations roll in!

Marquette - Long Night Moon
This EP is the most underrated project in this whole genre in my humble opinion. Mostly instrumental, extremely emotional, I love everything about this EP and this is my favorite song from it.
This never got a physical release and it leaves a huge hole in my night time vinyl listening at home.
If you like this, some of the members became another band called Penpal which is similar.

Had a hard time finding posters for some of my favorite bands so I threw together a few cause I had nothing better to do. Not really sure what I'm going to do with these but I spent a lot of time working on them and don't really have anyone to share these with.
Obviously these are just edits of album covers from these bands but I hope some people will find it cool nonetheless.

Am I a hardcore hero or a dumbass dad?
I have a very high energy almost 5 year old. He loves listening to bands like Refused, Touche Amore, ATDI, Fugazi, Lightning Bolt and doing our version of moshing and hardcore dancing in our living room based on YouTube videos I’ve shown him. My wife and I go to a lot of concerts and he always wants to go with us.
I decided to take him to this show at Gilman. My plan is to bring hearing protection for him, we’ll stand in the back and do our dancing outside of the main crowd, watch the pit some from the side, and if he stops having fun we can go get pizza and go home. Is this a bad idea? Any tips on how to make this as fun and safe as possible?
