Consequences of Delayed Tuition Payment
I’m posting to see if anyone had a similar situation at Emory…
I already initiated my international tuition payment through Flywire, but there’s a delay with the international bank. Student Accounts told me that an “initiated” payment won’t prevent my courses from being cancelled if the payment isn’t received by the deadline.
Has this happened to anyone before? Did your courses actually get dropped, and if so, were you able to get back into the same classes afterward?

I’ve had this happen to me before (different school, and undergrad.) but given what they alr told you I think you’re safe. If anything were to happen they can probably override it given proof that it is processing. I’d definitely reach back out if you are sent a notice of nonpayment later on so they can put a note in your file. Now if you’re taken out of the classes you can probably just be added back once the payment is received but the consequences of that is more will they be full by then.

I think this happened to a friend of mine, although I’m not certain. Iirc your courses aren’t dropped—it’s more like your Canvas and OPUS and such are frozen just temporarily. It’s not like they drop you like you’re a hot potato asap if they don’t receive payment right on the dot. It really shouldn’t be an issue tho if things are in progress.

I witnessed this my freshman year, they cut off her access to DCT and Few Hall, she couldn’t log into Opus, it was almost like they just booted her out of the system, til the balance was ZERO. She had to stay the night in a friends dorm til the next day, it all happened after business hours too

I don't know the answer to your question (I'm sorry) but I did notice that there is a 3-payment option to pay 33% down and then a payment in November and the final in December... it said the enrollment deadline to do that was around October 25th... I wonder if you were enrolled in that program and the first payment was in October, if that would secure your classes. ? Sorry you're going through that.
